First spread in my new journal! School is starting on the day after tomorrow. This week is going to be a hectic week! But on the bright side, school is starting on Tuesday, which means that there's only four days of schooling for this week! 😂

#100studytips LISTEN CAREFULLY FOR HINTS IN CLASS
Have you ever found yourself in a class or lecture so madly and rapidly writing notes that you miss a tonne of what the teacher is saying? And you sometimes have to ask the person next to you so you can ‘get with the program’ …. At this most ordinary juncture, you can forget trying to capture exam hints dropped by the teacher, you are simply in ‘survival mode’!
Apparently learning in class is more effective with the 80/20 rule. That is listen 80% and write 20% of the time. And you’re thinking ‘yeah, right, dream on…’ It is ‘kinda’ challenging and semi-unrealistic to achieve this, but if you actually read-up before class about the topic and prepare your notes (see last posts), you CAN be more chilled, and perhaps achieve a little of the 80/20 rule, in order to pick up on hints and material for exam questions.  Some teachers inadvertently drop hints without realising, but if you’re so focused on writing chicken scratch, you would sooo miss those hints.  Try this hack and see…Â
7 • 27 • 17 || Exams came in early this school year. And the new learning system is making my head ache.
How to motivate yourself to study?
To tell you the truth Motivation is not the cause for you to keep on studying "sometimes" it can't even help on getting you started. It is a small spark of wanting to improve, change, get better, try something new and etc. That strong urge to change but disappears after a certain time. It is usually the strongest after a failure or at the beginning of a new class or when you feel competitive. The key to keep that feeling is to discipline yourself, to push yourself to stand up sit on your desk open those books and just start. Pretty notes, school supplies, pens, notebooks, desk are only small factors on how to keep the feeling of wanting to study but starting and to keep going is the hardest part of the process. Make it into a habit. You can keep on looking at pictures of motivational quotes, or videos on how to study and etc. But it would be useless if you are not going to back it up with discipline. Next how to love studying, engage your mind on the thought of liking studying to study not because you have a quiz tomorrow but the thought of learning something new. "Be like a sponge absorb it absorb it." studying bits and pieces without a due date feels like small treats of chocolate. By the time the big test come in you'll be smilling like a maniac that you got a good night sleep, watched your fave show last night and still ace those test. Next make studying fun. You don't have to read the book over and over and over again grab a notebook read the topic, process it on your mind like a story then write it down 10x faster than rereading it over and over again. I know. I'd rather sleep or stay on my phone all day and etc etc. But remember you could fail be embarassed that you failed WITHOUT trying. Nag at yourself. You have exams you want to pass. You want to get that degree. You want to finish school. These are my thoughts. Unlike waystostudy who can study at hours and hours I can't yet I'm still pushing myself but so far it has helped me with studying for my review. -Jade-

Used up my old journal so I bought a new one! I wanted to buy a dotted page journal but I couldn't find one, blank pages and lined pages are the only ones available so I chose the blank page :>
Anyway, that's my last spread in my old journal.
