Jasta ‘Boelcke’, now under the command of Oblt Otto Bernert, played host to some visitors from the Austro-Hungarian KuK Luftfahrtruppen at Proville in June. In the top row, from left to right, are Fritz Kempf, Hermann Frommherz, Hans Eggers, Otto Hunzinger, Georg Zeumer, Karl Bodenschatz (OzbV), Gerhard Bassenge, Wilhelm Prien and Johannes Wintrath. In the middle row are KuK guest Hptm Hervan von Kirchberg, then Bernert, Werner Voss (apparently visiting from Jasta 5), Kuk visitor Hptm Raoul Stojsavljevic and Ernst Wendler. At left in the front row is a little-known pilot usually identified as Ltn Strey (or Stren), then Rolf Freiherr von Lersner and Franz Pernet. Zeumer would be killed in action on 17 June. Lersner was an accomplice of Voss in his misguided attempt to have Hptm Walz removed from command, and would be transferred out of Jasta B in early August (Prien Album)
