Well, I never imagined that my first time drawing Werner Voss would be as a furry on top of Lothar, but I had no choice.
Maybe i was made @probablyaleksashka think I was going to draw they Oswald and they vampire Manfred from his AU, but that was a lie because I just wanted to draw they other two vampires.
Because these two have been stuck in my head for the past two days, and I don’t even know why Werner is this creature that I didn’t even know existed (An Alp) but it was the best decision that could have been made because he’s ridiculously fun to draw.
Honestly, it’s they fault for making me ship them.
hai !! uhh sending you an art request for the billionth time but can we get Lothar von Richthofen x Werner Voss yaoi I MEAN a drawing of werner👅👅
Sorry for the lateness!!! >< Finals week has been quite busy, but now that I’m done with the tests…..
Here they are!!! ^^
(I’ve actually never thought of paring the two of them lmao….I mean their dynamics would certainly be quite interesting ig)
so becaus HOLY VOICECRACK people are doing haunted Jasta with ze gang
Ossi is now a weredragon because he was always a weredragon in my mind idk why
"erm dragons arent cryptids" OH YEAH THE DEFINITION OF A CRYPTID IS "an animal or creature claimed to exist in the wild, but whose existence lacks scientific proof" WHICH DRAGONS ARE
and because Voss as a Tatzelwurm was in my consciousness before it was confirmed he should be a alp
and I know tatzelwurms aren't 1/3 human but I personally took more creative liberties with the designs of Greek gods sooooo this is nothing
none of these are even Halloween related what am I on

Future 48 victory ace, Pour le Mérite (Blue Max) holder and Staffelführer of Jasta 10, the great Leutnant Werner Voss, in front of his Albatros D.III, 1917. Arguably the best fighter pilot of the war, he was a close friend of Manfred von Richthofen and in MvR's own words, the only pilot who could have surpassed him victory wise. At the time of Voss' death, MvR had shot down 61 planes vs Voss' 48.
However, Voss didn't fly during Bloody April, when the Luftstreitkräfte (Imperial German Air Service) absolutely shredded the Royal Flying Corp, the English losing 245 aircraft to Germany's 66. MvR shot down 13 planes during Bloody April, so it's fair to assume Voss would have scored a similar tally, which would have made them level pegging on the score chart. Voss scored his first victory on 26 November 1916, and his last on the morning of his death, 23 September 1917. 48 victories in just 10 months.
He was KIA in the greatest dogfight of the war around 1830 hours. He was leading a patrol in his new triplane prototype Fokker F.I. He outdistanced his five fellow pilots who were flying slower Pfalz D.IIIs. Thus having no support, he found himself fighting at least 10 RFC aircraft. Forcing 4 off through damage he began his final battle with the remaining 6 aircraft. He put holes in every one of them before finally succumbing after 8 minutes of sensational flying.
As he had several opportunities to escape but chose to stay & fight, it has been speculated that he wanted to close the gap between his score and that of his best friend MvR. The leading British pilot he fought that day, future 57 victory ace James McCudden VC, expressed sincere regret at Voss' death: "His flying was wonderful, his courage magnificent and in my opinion he was the bravest German airman whom it has been my privilege to see fight"

"Manfred described that he had gained some weight in the trenches, even calling himself a barrel...."

Silly drawing
In the 2nd main alternate universe of my story Werner Voss survives his last fight with serious injuries, several broken bones and losing a leg. The higher ups decide that this is the perfect opportunity to end his career as a fighter pilot, so even if he recovers from his injuries and could go back to flying he can't overtake Manfred on the scoreboard of planes shot down.
The two man recognise that it is the propaganda machine and do not hold a grudge over it. Werner starts studying engineering and ends up working part time for Anthony Fokker who somehow ends up getting the spaceship and other belongings of Damien (i will write about it one day) to take it appart and make whatever is possible from it on that era's planes.
They take everything appart that they can't turn on and "use", (well they need to figure out how to use modern technology first, one day i will also write about the early 20th century guys adventure with the late 25th century computers)
Werner took appart the prosthetics hoping he could use the technology from it but replicating the technology is impossible without the modern manufacturing tools and he wasn't able to put it back together, which did not make Damien happy
(Some lore on Damien's prosthetic fingers under the cut)
