Mel drinking Ginger ale on the roof makes the karaoke scene that much funnier if you consider the possibility that she’s not drunk and that’s a 100% sober Mel giving it her all and belting her heart out with a shit faced Santos.

Everyone swears Santos is horrible and yet she's collecting the outcasts at the end of every season like Infinity Stones.

i ship other things but there is something to be said about Mel not understanding Santos' sarcasm so frequently that she just gives up and starts being genuine and honest with Mel to communicate & thereby suddenly bonds with her in ways she hadn't been able to with many other people

mel didn't know how she probably saved santos from relapsing after her shift just by hanging out with her and doing karaoke 🥹
