This Tequila Lime Flank Steak with Garlic and Cilantro tastes great and is great for any event. The marinade gives the steak a zesty lime flavor, a fragrant garlic smell, and a light tequila heat. The cilantro adds a fresh herb note. If you cook it in the oven, it will always be tender and juicy.
Ingredients: 1.5 lbs flank steak. 1/4 cup tequila. 1/4 cup lime juice. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. 2 tbsp olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine tequila, lime juice, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, and olive oil. Mix well. Place flank steak in a shallow dish and pour marinade over it, making sure it's evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results. Preheat the oven to 400F 200C. Remove the flank steak from the marinade and discard excess marinade. Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the flank steak and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for about 8-10 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove the steak from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly against the grain. Serve hot, garnished with extra cilantro leaves if desired.
