lottie would be will, without a doubt. the only other person i think you could even make an argument for is taissa.

bcuz of van, i like taissa in lucas’ role but she’s not really a voice of reason that much. she does, though, kind of pull away from the group to do politics like lucas does basketball. tired of being bullied and wanting to move out in the world

& when natalie starts getting better and comes back to the team after a couple weeks of being away and ignoring all of them, they notice she’s a little happier. it’s not all the time, but she’s starting to smile again

Chapter 3

The feeling of eyes glued to him was so much worse than his first day after the move from California.

Back then, Billy walked with confidence. His stride had a sort of power to it. Now… He limped slightly, every single step earning him a sharp twinge of pain that rippled through his torso. It wasn’t unbearable… but it didn’t necessarily help his situation all that much.

At some point, Steve passed him in the hall and gave him a pat on his shoulder. It was… comforting. He was reminded of who his friends were. The people who were there that night. The ones who knew what actually happened when the mall was destroyed.
