Ever think about how the way they broke Adrien and Kagami up and got her together with Felix felt like something out of a salt fic?
Like they had Adrien be the lousy spineless boyfriend that Kagami calls a coward while Felix became the edgy tough guy that she could hook up with
Its because they didn't want to write Kagami getting over Adrien (since he's supposed to be ""perfect""), and to hide that they basically said he's "spineless" for not standing up to his abuser, shoehorned in an abuse backstory for Felix, and then wiped both felix and kagami's prior characterizations (that were actually interesting) to make them into cardboard cutouts of themselves.
Felix being a sentibeing meant he was always going to be an abuse victim, but they had to spend an episode going over how *actually* he was abused even worse than Adrien and that it made him resilient instead of a pushover, whilst simultaneously being enough of a sad boy backstory to justify his actions.
Feligami has other serious issues, like stripping Kagami of all her rebellion and defiance. Now she's just fine with dating the guy who kidnapped her... for Reasons.
Feligami makes Kagami look really bad for hating Adrien's abuse responses while simultaneously finding Felix's abuse responses hot, even though Felix's included attempting to assault Marinette (I'm not bringing up the "murdering all of Paris" thing because I am an Anakin fan, so I would just be a hypocrite for that). It also makes it seem like s4 Kagami doesn't remember s3 Adrien at all. Adrien *did* go behind his father's back. He is the one who originally helped her lie to her mother to go to Kitty Section hangouts.
Her anger at him lying to her is fair, because she deserves better than s4 Adrien was giving her. Feligami could have been cute (even if it would always feel like Felix was a consolation prize for Kagami) if it wasn't just "Adrien is awful for being afraid of his abuser (who can literally mind control him) unlike Felix, who hated his abuser (and has control of his amok)"
Like what are we doing. Feligami reads like a salt fic. Marinette breaking Adrien's rings reads like a salt fic. The writers need to put down ao3, or at least leave the Marinette x Damian Wayne tags.
