So apparently I got tagged in a question thing a while ago by the lovely ellipsisobsessed and didn’t notice until today? My bad. That said, here it is (…below the cut, because honestly I never manage not to run long answering these.)

1. If you had the chance to spend the afternoon/evening platonicly hanging out with one fictional character who would it be and why?  (Aka I’m not looking for who you want to have sex with.)
Anyone who knows anything about me can anticipate what I’m going to say here, but: Tony Stark.Â
2. How would you spend your time with the character from question one? Â (Chatting? Going to a museum? A restaurant? Doing science?)
I feel like doing science would absolutely be my first priority, but probably the day would devolve into sarcastic commentary and we’d get distracted by something shiny half way through, and by the end of the night we’d probably wind up drunk with no idea how that happened. Although if he didn’t mind I’d also totally have him fly me around because who the hell wouldn’t want to take a ride with Iron Man?
3. If you had to pick between never falling in love or never having a sexual relationship which would you pick?
Never having a sexual relationship. Don’t get me wrong, I really do like sex (…if not for the same reasons allosexual people do, granted), but emotional connection is a lot more important to me than sex.
4. What would your dream living situation be? Â (What type of house, who else lives there, location, whatever is important to you.)
My ideal living situation is something my sister and I have discussed: living in a brownstone in a nice neighborhood of Brooklyn, with my sister and her boy and anyone else emotionally important to us at the time. Hopefully with big windows. If I manage to get into medical school in New York City, that’s actually a life plan we might accomplish.
Later in life I’ll probably want a house, but I’m nowhere near that point yet.
5. What sort of fic are you a complete sucker for?  (Or book/movie/etc if you don’t read fic.)
These are pretty predictable, but: stories that involve magic (especially magical realism that’s basically my happy place), soulmates, dragons or characters being badass are usually favorites of mine. I really love long stories that gradually build on emotions or flesh out characters.
6. What will make you drop a story in a heartbeat?
Lack of consent in any sexual situations (especially if the writer doesn’t realize there’s something squicky going on with consent and genuinely thinks all is well.) Any sexual situations involving children. On less serious notes, really poor characterization or too many spelling & grammar errors can also throw me out of a story.
7. Do you have any jewelry/accessories you wear all the time? Â (If so what are they?)
Yeah. I have one bracelet with my birth name on it that’s literally never come off my right wrist for more than a few minutes at a time since I was twelve or thirteen. I don’t even like being called by my birth name all that much, but I’m so used to the bracelet it feels like part of my arm. I also have another bracelet that was a present from my sister, and a few rings, and I usually wear them.
8. What would your perfect date be?  (Or perfect day with a friend if you aren’t into dating.)
Uhhh… I’ve honestly never thought about this before? I guess with me being me it would have to involve movies somehow. …..see, the problem I’m having here is that I have two very strong and very opposite preferences here. One is for really goofy, childish shit like spending ages on park swings or playing laser tag (I deeply enjoy things I can get way too competitive over), and the other is for being an actual adult and going out to dinner somewhere nice and just sitting around drinking good champagne. Either way, the end of the night should involve cuddling up with somebody and watching a movie, and pastries.
9. Do you cook/bake/prepare food? Â If so what is your favorite thing to make/your go to dish?
I can bake, and I cook a little. Baking I can pretty much do whatever so long as it isn’t really fancy, and my go to recipe is chocolate chip cookies because I can basically make them in my sleep. Cooking…do you want eggs or eggs? How about some eggs? :P
10. When I ask for a quote what is the first one you think of? (Doesn’t have to be your “favorite” one.)
Oh god this sounds pretentious as hell, but my mind jumped to a quote from a Mallarme poem. Completely without correct accents, that quote is: Un coup de des jamais n’abolira le hasard.
