eyelids were heavy with exhaustion from the day. she had hardly slept the night before and joseph had so many unexpected errands and things to do for work today, she found herself overwhelmed at home. mary closed her eyes, settling into robert’s side more. she just wished she could freeze everything and live in the peace that the house was in forever, unfortunately she knew things couldn’t last. it wouldn’t be long until joseph got back home from work and the good times would be spoiled, especially if robert was still there.
