The man could be aware of the emotional nature of every being who stood before him, an ability which had brought him both sorrow and entertainment; however, his understanding of his own feelings was complicated.

A man raised on the cold streets of an impoverished London, bathed in the blood of others from a very young age. A human being burdened by the yoke of pain that a life he never asked for forced him to endure. His own emotions had never truly mattered to him, always pushed into the background in favor of a cold, idle rationality that bordered on sociopathy. A combination of factors resulted in a basic ignorance of such specific elements as the acceleration of his heartbeat, the slight blushing of his cheeks, or the feeling of butterflies fluttering in his stomach. All physical sensations that did nothing more than express what he both feared and longed for.

His eyelids opened the instant the realization hit him like a bullet straight to the heart. —How have you done it? –A question slipped from his lips, a quiet yearning to find meaning in something as achingly human as love. —How can someone so fragile subdue a monster...? –Despite his doubts, his inherent fear of being loved, Jack didn't see himself capable of taking a step back, of abandoning the closeness that had blossomed between them with the beauty of a rose of the most vibrant red.

With a tilt of his head, the space between them finally vanished in the blink of an eye. beelzebub has never been much of a fighter. or, rather, he’s always been someone who prefers to engage with research and study instead of sparring with others — outside of the times where he sought out the strongest fighters he could find in the hope of getting killed… or the death tournament during ragnarok where he participated to avenge hades…

but you — his only living friend, the only person able to settle into his life without setting off his curse and getting killed — and your insistence on dragging him out of his home to practice with you have somehow managed to change that

of course, despite your continued pleading that he stop holding back and that you can take anything he throws at you, beelzebub always holds back when he’s sparring with you. not to the point of letting you win or throwing your matches, because he doesn’t and you haven’t won a single one yet, but enough for you to notice — because you’ve seen what that staff of his can do and at this point you’re almost offended that your favourite sparring buddy refuses to give his all with you

but as this is the only way he’ll agree to take a break from his research and join you, you’ve since learned to hold your tongue — only offering a few token complaints before he gives you your fill of excitement and returns back inside to finish whatever you interrupted

and besides, since you started fighting with him more regularly you’ve noticed yourself improving at a far more rapid rate than before so the mild annoyance at feeling like an inferior opponent (to a human, no less!) is more than worth it

plus you just enjoy getting to spend a few hours with your friend without him getting into his own head about accidentally killing you via his curse or him being distracted by whatever he’s currently working on… and who could possibly complain about that?

Heracles has been observing his partner's weird behavior for the past few days... Jack likes to cling to him more than usual. He gags at the smell of tea, and he likes to eat apple pie with kavourmas on top. That's... one weird fusion of their two cultures. Days pass by, and Jack's belly is getting... bigger? As if there's life growing inside of him. Both Jack and Heracles are stunned, since both of them believe only women can get pregnant. One day, they decide to visit Priapus, as he is associated with male fertility in the Greek Pantheon. To their surprise, Priapus is also... Stunned, he suggests the couple go visit Dionysus, but he's busy partying at that moment, so they decide to visit the Hindu Pantheon to consult with Parvati about this problem. She wasn't as surprised as Priapus was because... She has seen the same case with Emperor Qin Shi Huang. She said this case will be considered normal until all gods and goddesses of fertility find a conclusion to this case.

One night... They're tucked in bed together. Heracles' arms protectively wrap around Jack's torso, giving Jack and their unborn child the warmth and comfort he wants. Heracles wonders in awe, Do all men in Jack's era wear a cone hat and a nightgown to sleep? On the other hand, Jack feels warm... He has somewhere and someone to call home. Romance never really crossed his mind when he was alive. But once it does in the afterlife, he's married to the man, the myth, the legend Hercules, the man who loves him dearly. Although how dark and unjust his past is in Heracles's eyes... he still gives him a second chance. Jack's usual clothing doesn't fit him, and he doesn't want to be seen walking around in his nightgown. So, Heracles suggests wearing the clothes from his time, simple rectangular fabric pinned together. Heracles would stay by his side since the baby could be born any day now, and he feels proud since Jack is wearing a part of his own culture. Their routine consists of morning strolls, Jack admiring Heracles while we train, having meals together, sometimes taking evening strolls, and snuggling with each other in bed.

A couple of months before the due date, they calmed down with their physical routines, mainly staying in the comfort of their home. Heracles offered to take on most of the household chores, insisting on helping although Jack refused multiple times. He would often question Jack about his cravings and the strange fusion of cuisines. Sometimes, Heracles would lie beside his sleeping husband all day long until the afternoon, silently admiring Jack’s growing belly and feeling a deep sense of wonder and pride. Their days blended together until it was the due date.

Heracles remained by Jack's side throughout his labor, offering reassuring words and gentle touches to comfort him as the midwives helped in the process. After what felt like an eternity, Jack finally gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. He couldn't believe his eyes, he brought two new tiny lives into the world, although he had taken many in his past life. Two tiny babies lay crying in his arms, filling him with a mixture of awe and wonder. Heracles pampers him with kisses, saying that 'he did it'. And they decided to name their girl Leonora, and the boy Melios.

Odin stood there with the papers slowly falling from his hand while Hunnin and Mungin Sat there in absolute shock and very surprise as Thor walked in with you and his son cradled in his arms. Cooing and babbling happily. Hunnin and Mungin immediately flew over Thor's shoulders to see his son. " Awww, look at the little baby, isn't he cute?" Munnigin chirped as the little baby boy tried to reach up and grab his beak. Muungin grunted and squeaked as the baby boy, was shaking him like a toy maraca. Hunngin laughed at him. While he was trying to break free from the little boy's grasp. Odin slowly walked closer to his grandson, looking at him with confusing eyes, he looked back at his son. " I had a grandson, and you didn't tell me?" Odin asked surprisingly while the little boy was grasping his cloak, cooing as he felt the consistency.

Thor nodded, " Yes, I did." I had a grandson... And he never told me... Odin thought, But deep down, he reprimanded himself for passing on his thing with beautiful women to his son.

"So... who was the lady you conceived with? Odin asked. You cleared your throat to get his attention, and he quickly turned his gaze towards... you... The maid. He assigned you to his son?! He pointed his finger at his son. In realization, " Now that makes a lot of sense." He added. The baby boy resumed tugging on his grandfather's cloak. Odin gently grabbed the baby from Thor's arms. " Now, aren't you a good-looking young man," He said with the love and joy that finally... He's got a grandkid!! As if he's not old enough at it is.

Odin ordered some of his servants to bring every toy in the village. While the rest set up the baby's room. You and Thor looked at each other than at Odin and your son, which whom he was getting along with. " I told you they'll get along just fine." You said as you exhorted his arm. He looked back at you with a tiny smile, before kissing the top of your head. When you told him, that it was time to meet his grandfather, he was a little conservative at first, but with slight persuasion, he agreed. And now his father was showing his new toys and bonding with his grandson, which lasted for hours till Thor joined in. It was actually kinda adorable. Seeing your husband and his father's adhesion with the little boy. About an hour later, your son fell asleep in his crib while his father gently rocked it. His tiny snores escaped his mouth. Loki floated into the new room, which was filled with toys, baby toys, and books. While he glanced at certain brother and maid with a crib. He peaked over to see your son sleeping away. He noticed the red hair anywhere. He looked at him and the baby a couple times before realizing that he was an uncle?! " You slept with your maid?!" He asked loudly. Thor gave a deathly stare for yelling so loudly while his son was sleeping, but he was only moving a little bit, so it was no bother. Loki lowered his voice, " You slept with your maid?" Thor only stared at him before throwing him out of the baby room. " Was that necessary love?" Thor turned to you. " Yes, it was."

He's a God. He has existed for thousands of years, witnessed so many events in human history, seen and met so many people. And yet, he has never fallen for anyone. No one has piqued his interest... until you came along. Who would have thought that Hermes would fall for a human? For such a weak and fragile creature?

What is it that makes him want to pursue you, anyway? Is it your wonderful smile? The way your eyes bright up whenever you talk to him? Or is it the excitement in your voice whenever you tell him about your interests? How you always run up to him when you spot him?

Whatever it is, you have made him fall for you. And not just a little, no, he is head over heels for you. You, a simple human, have captured his heart. But he won't complain. You make his life shine brighter. The world seems a little less dull with you by his side.

He can't stop looking at you. He can't stop touching you. His hand is always on your body, whether it may be on your shoulder, your back, your waist, your arm, your thigh. Knowing that you're safe with him makes him feel incredibly relieved. After all, you're a human. Humans get hurt more easily than Gods.

"Love? Are you alright?" Your voice pulls him out of his thoughts. You two are in his chambers, lying on his bed. You look at him, head slightly tilted to the side and eyes filled with concern. Oh, those beautiful eyes of yours...

"Yes, don't worry, my dear, I feel splendid!" His arms around your waist give you a gentle squeeze. He smiles softly at you before his right hand travels up to hold your chin. He pulls you closer and plants a firm kiss on your lips. "How could I not feel amazing with you by my side?"

He makes sure to cherish every single moment he shares with you. He knows that humans don't live nearly as long as Gods do. But he pushes this thought out of his hand. He refuses to let the time you two spend together be filled with worry and dread. You're here, in his arms. You're alive and you will continue to stay alive for the next decades to come. And he will be with you no matter how busy his life may get.

Your head lies on his chest. You close your eyes and listen to the steady and calm beat of his heart. It soothes you, lulling you to sleep. His fingers run through your hair, making you feel drowsy.

"I love you, my dear. And I will continue to love you for the rest of my life," he whispers into your ear before you doze off in his arms. His lips press a light kiss to your forehead. He loves spending time with you, especially when Zeus doesn't order him around all the time.
