Here’s a twist... When your nerves are damaged, you never know how it may affect you, your practice, or life that day. So many people suffer from neuropathy, as a result of illness like diabetes, treatments like chemotherapy, or more vague causes like #complexregionalpainsyndrome. Large or #smallfiberneuropathy the pain is real, and REALLY painful!!! 😖😖😖 At this point I am far less interested in the cause, than I am the management of the symptoms. With this rise in pain, and purposeful reduction of #painkillers we will start to see answers as we look deeper. If you are in pain, there is help, but it will take work, doctors, therapists, and healers: I am in love with my team of specialists who support opioid-free living, #acupuncture and #physicaltherapy @cedarssinai. I cherish my yoga @corepoweryoga and #teaching has changed the trajectory of my life. I couldn’t live without #chiropractic care and body work at @burke_williams WORKS!! 👨⚕️ 🥼 👩⚕️ I am filled with more creative work than I have the time to accomplish. I have a loving family and friends and extended family around the world to exchange meaningful care and joy. I teach. I learn. The cycle repeats. And when I come across a new challenge, wether it be balance, memory, coordination, blurry vision, muddled speech, pain magnified from osteoarthritis, bone spurs, tendonosis, or profusely sweating because my nerves don’t act “normal” in any way...YOGA brings a #NEWNORMAL. Free of judgement. Free of fear. Free of negativity. Free of depression. It takes work and there is a way. For to focus on examining symptoms as information, we lessen their impact. For it is up to US, how we CHOOSE to react and deal with our challenges. We all have them. How do you wish to respond to your challenges today? . . .
