Sometimes EDS is a pain in the face.
Went in for a tilt table test, and came out traumatized.
They chose to abort the test against my will so l'm left with an inconclusive test, a possible blood clot, and a huge POTS flare.
It is so hard to advocate for myself as a physically disabled, autistic, trans person because medical professionals don't respect me as a human being or a valid source of information about my own body and experiences.

Aiming for a low-key day so bracing is minimal.
A struggle that's not talked about enough with chronic pain: wanting to sit a certain way (ex: criss cross applesauce, knees up to chest, on knees) but not being able to because of the pain and having to keep your legs straight out
3 more weeks until I find out if I have small fiber neuropathy, 2 until my tilt table, and just after that is a 3 week long heart monitor and genetic testing for my ehlers danlos syndrome. With my personal and family history of heart problems is giving major classical/vascular vibes. It's all being done at Loyola which isn't my usual place so that's kinda fun. It's a bit of a hike though so I hope it's not the new normal.

It isnβt a compliment. Itβs insulting. Stop it.
Wear a mask please, I'm already sick enough and I want to avoid dying at 22. If I end up dying from collective irresponsibility I'll be very pissed.
