It was super fun, I was house captain so I went in all the sports for the points, came 3rd in all the athletics including cross country, 2nd in most of the swimming carnival because R had a broken arm and wasn't taking part, and 1st in butterfly because S didn't do that one and I was literally the only one in the race, which meant... I automatically qualified for Zones (district-wide interscholastic sports competitions). I proceeded to lose hilariously in every single race, including being lapped by the front-runners of the Under-12 Boys in the cross-country, one of whom was a classmate and waved as he ran past me, the cheeky shit. Anyway, my humiliation paid off, we still got the house cup that year!)
