i think the saddest thing about richey is the fact that with other mentally ill musicians like him, they were able to have a funeral and confirmation of death. with richey, absolutely nobody can prove what happened to him or what he did, we can only guess. and because there was never a body found he never had a funeral and he was never buried. there isn’t a headstone for him anywhere and there was never any closure. also it breaks my heart a bit when i remember he passed a decade before i was born </3
