And if I said the MCU
Bounce (like yo' ass had the hiccups)
i dont think ill ever be able to appreciate shock value to its fullest because a lot of what ive seen is just corny,, but i know there are instances where its done in a way that’s actually good and meaningful

in case you guys were wondering, yes in the united states all students are required to stand at the beginning of the day and put their hand over their heart and:
pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under god indivisible, with liberty and justice for all
it depends on the school but sitting down or not saying the pledge is seen as disrespectful or like a protest etc
Movie rec, Shock Value (2014). It’s an about a horror filmmaker blackmailing a serial killer into being in his movie. It’s an indie horror/thriller-comedy-meets-slasher, fresh premise, small-name filmmaker. It says “unrated,” but I’d place it as a solid R. It’s well shot, well paced, it’s not 3 hours long, and it actually felt compelling. The humor landed for me, humor is very subjective, though, so take that with a grain of salt. The violence hits right, and it’s well-interspersed. Worth the watch, it’ll probably make you crack a smile and definitely keep your attention. Cyclical vengeance like a classic revenge play, and the final girl is a badass.
And for that one specific subset of horror fans, yes, he does straddle someone while stabbing them to death and then walks away covered in blood. For the woman-loving side of that subset, there is a scene for you too. You will both however be personally called out by the director, twice.
