Legacies
Out of absolute boredom, my partner and I binged the first two seasons of Legacies and are now watching season three. I like the magic part, and thatās the only thing keeping me watching.
I have a question for anyone:
What makes Hope so damn special? Sheās aĀ ātribridā, sure, but what else?
Her relationship with Mr. Saltzman borders on creepy - itās got a romantic air but heās the freaking headmaster! He seems to be holding himself back from grabbing her and deep kissing her. Itās icky.
She does some magic, but mostly just screws everything up and makes life harder on those around her. But then, they praise her like sheās some kind of God or something. If I have to hear one moreĀ āpraise Hopeā speech andĀ āyouāre so wonderfulā monologue I might puke. What, precisely, has she done to garner such fawning?
My partner has a theory: that Hope emanates a kind of magic that brings out the best in everyone. If sheās around, their powers are stronger. They love her because she oozes good feelings. I donāt agree, because by the third season Iād think the writers would make this clearer.
So, whatās Hopeās deal? Why is she so loved? What makes her special? Other characters are much better written, have interesting storylines, and have better interactions. All I see from Hope is that sheās lusting after the headmaster and people say sheās amazing.
Please, someone enlighten me.
