Sensa laid her hand on Elu's back. "It will be alright." Elu sarcastically shook her head, feeling that such a phrase was way overused and lacked the real sense that it would actually be okay.

"Will it, though? I sometimes think people just say that because they have nothing else to say. It really has lost all meaning to what it was cause often people have no idea if it will actually be alright or okay, or work out, or any of those words that are supposed to comfort somebody."

Sensa let her hand drop and nodded at the woman. Elu felt bad. It wasn't Sensa's fault that this week was hard on her or that she was in such a bad mood.

Weeks had gone by, and no more attacks had been made. Elu felt she was being played with, which made her uneasy and out of sorts. Plus, she had visited the graves of those she had lost and paid tribute to their families, which had her spirits lower than usual, that guilt fresh in her mind once more.

She knew the mood would pass, but she just wanted to go home, crawl in her bed, snuggle with her mate, and forget everything for a few days. Bryn always seemed to make her feel better, even on her worst days, and today was definitely one of those days.

She scrambles to wrap her arms around Sensa and apologizes while trying to keep herself from crying. Sensa's hand pats her back, and Elu steps back after a moment and takes a deep breath. "I shouldn't take my bad mood out on you. I am sorry."

Sensa shakes her head in understanding, just as she always does. She looks around the kitchen and says, "Perhaps I can make us some lunch. A bit of food might help, and after everything that has happened, you need to take care of yourself."

Elu chuckles at the woman, who is like an older sister to her. She never fails to take care of her and is always there, even when Elu doesn't think she should be.

Elu pushed the food around her plate. She had only a morsel of the meal, and though she appreciated that Sensa had cooked for her, she didn't feel like eating much.

Her nightmares had returned. She had found herself lost in a sea of cold darkness. That inner voice told her once more. It's coming. She had begged it to say to her what was coming but had instead awoke in a cold sweat, breathing heavily a shattered glass on her nightstand. She looked over at what used to be her vanity. But after the third one had shattered during a nightmare, she gave up on having mirrors in her room.

She drops the fork on the plate and sighs heavily. Perhaps her inner darkness is warning her about this woman who seems to be after her. Things have gone quiet again, but that only puts her more on edge.

Sensa looks over from her own dinner plate and tilts her head, giving Elu a worried look. "I don't think not eating will help the matter at hand. You need your strength. More now than ever."

Elu knew Sensa was right, but the thought of eating made her sick to her stomach. Instead, she got up and poured herself some tea, turning to offer Sensa a fresh cup if she wished. The woman took the cup despite looking as if she might say more.

It wasn't often that Sensa came to her home. Usually, she stayed at her Limsa apartment or a place that Elu had set up for her. Elu knew she had shown up because she was concerned not just about the threat but also that Elu wasn't taking care of herself. It seemed everyone, even her sister, was worried about her.

Perhaps she should be worried about herself. She barely slept, could barely eat, and her pale skin seemed even more pale than normal. The dark circles under her eyes gave her an almost deathly appearance, and even her long blonde hair seemed limp and lifeless.

She sighed as she sipped the tea, a blend she hoped would allow her to get some sleep.

"You can go, Sensa. I just need some sleep. The tea should help. I promise I will eat later." Elu nods at the woman over the edge of her cup, her nail tapping the side, which everyone who knew her knew was a habit she had when she was nervous or worried.

Sensa purses her lips together but then takes a deep breath and blows it out slowly before she, too, nods her head. "Fine, but I expect you to check in afterward. I don't care what time it is. I will be at the office tonight, late as it is. And no, I won't be alone. I will have one of the men there just in case."

Elu let out the air she was holding and nods again before showing Sensa to the door. After the woman was gone and Elu had secured the door once more. She grabbed a blanket and laid down on the couch in front of the fireplace.
