Okay, since I don't have that many drawings, here comes the lore ::
I don't know if you've noticed this, but I'm not fluent in English, so I use Google Translate to try and make my sentences more coherent, but it doesn't always work, So, if you notice anything wrong or nonsensical, don't hesitate to ask. I'll do my best to explain and correct the error afterward
No dates will be mentioned here; I'm still waiting for episode 9 to be officially released so I can rewatch it and pay closer attention to the years and everything else, and only then create a timeline that makes sense in chronological order
So, like, they're young adults in college studying art history, but this is the third time they've changed majors because they have no idea what they want to do with their lives and are TERRIFIED of the idea of being real adults. To give you an idea of how lost they are, they started with Law, dropped out and went into Architecture, and only then did they switch to art history, but they were already starting to consider Film or Law again
After a really awful day of classes, they decided to take a walk around town, and that's when they remembered a place they'd wanted to visit for a while: the abandoned C&A building. When they were studying law, they'd heard about a small tech company that had suddenly closed its doors, and people had heard that the building had been left behind with all the computers. The story became 'popular' when the landowner saw the dilapidated building and the paperwork showed that the company was still active. They went to the building, and they liked how dark it was and how the tension of the place made everything outside seem insignificant.
After just wandering around for half an hour, they heard what they thought were footsteps and—fearing the building was occupied by homeless people—they ran aimlessly down the emergency stairs until they found a dusty room that looked like an office. They looked around and everything seemed untouched, almost as if the place had been evacuated. The cubicles remained with the personal belongings of the people who stayed in them: family photos, a mug with coffee grounds, computers decorated with stickers, small things that reminded them of the real world. Morgan felt unwell, but they weren't sure why; suddenly, the darkness that had made them forget the pressure of the world seemed too suffocating, too real. Morgan sat at the foot of a desk without a chair, grabbed their knees and settled into the dust, then, with a small dull thud, the headset fell to the floor
Their curiosity and desperate desire to focus on anything other than their own thoughts led them to put the headset on, and then all they saw were colors, many vibrant colors, a flying set of dentures, bubbles with sharp teeth, a giant purple rabbit, a frog with a bow, a rag doll, a chess piece, and various strange things... It seemed like a fantasy world, far from the worries of being an adult or the responsibilities that kept them awake at night
I imagine the rest is easy to interpret; in any case, I'll leave talking more about them until everyone has watched episode nine, I really don't want to risk saying anything that could compromise someone's experience

Mongaro, mentally in early 20s, bodily ancient as hell, maverique (go by they/it pronouns). 6 foot 2, unemployed and proud.
• Intro: Some multiversal humano-shapesculpting creature with a penchant for fucking the elite over. Not as mean and scary as their rbf makes them look (or as docile).
• Background: Previously thought to be an "anomaly" due to its innate ability to hop dimensions (think Doctor Strange) and locked up in earth-928. Now runs around messing with the canon just to rub it in Miguel's face cause they were tossed in the go home machine and absolutely hated it.
• Personality: chaotic in nature, full of spite, restless, observant, shameless, sensitive, curious. Also a bit of a pervert (not just a bit actually). Gets bitey, clingier, and handsier when it comes to people it likes. Great listener, unreliable advisor that will get you hospitalized and/or in jail. Good wingmate though. Vengeful just for the love of the game but serious when it matters.
• Loves: shiny shit, petty theft, lazing around, commonfolk (patronizingly), food (mostly live rodents and chicken eggs that they eat w/ their tentacles)
• Hates: hierarchies, the elite (feels weirdly maternal towards commonfolk; has always hated and worked against the elite since)
• Other: tentacles remain hidden for the most part; has sheaths on their hips, shoulder blades, and back.

Relations:
- Hobie Brown (earth-138): madly in love, platonically, romantically, intimately, sexually... you name it. Clicked instantly & bonded in earth-928 when Mongaro was in anomaly jail. Now follows him around like doggo ever since. Loves nagging and roughhousing with him because Hobie's always matching their energy.
- Pavitr, Gwen (spider-gwen), Miles Morales (earth-1610): mama hen to all of them, even if it always ragebaits them by pretending to play favorites. Brings them gifts like a crow when it finds something it thinks suits their interests, takes the whole group on trips to mess around and disrupt spider canon on purpose... that sort of stuff.
- Miguel O'hara: holds grudge against him, not only because of the incident, but also for the damage (physical & emotional) he did in his misguided efforts to "save the multiverse". They don't interact much together though because they are both wary of each other.
- Miles G Morales: got curious and stopped by to say hi, wasn't received very well. Mongaro thinks it might've spooked him.
Species:
Shapesculptors = ancient ageless multiversal creatures that can mold (or sculpt) their vessel into any shape or form they desire.
Humano-shapesculptors (Mongaro's case) = Exclusively the offsprings of a human and a shapesculptor couples: shapesculptors who must retain a humanoid base but are still able to mold said base to a certain degree depending on genetics.
Ability:
Mongaro's way of interdimensional travel consists of imagining a desired location (+ time period, date, any relevant info to get as specific as possible) on the other side of an entryway (door, window, vent shaft, trapdoor, even a manhole cover). This doesn't guarantee perfect results though cause there needs to be an identical entryway on the other side too, kind of like monsters inc does with closets.
Like a one way mirror, you can only go in through the front; the back will just appear as a closed door (or window or air vent or blablabla you get it)
By default this means they are also able to bypass any locked door no matter how secure—which is op as hell, but also funny, so why not? It's my self insert, I'm gonna have fun with it. XD
Their tentacles are very long, stretchy and sturdy, and can extend up to twice their height.
Their entire body is regenerative, but that ability consumes energy very rapidly if overused without food nearby.
The tentacles connected to their hips can split open at the tips like mouths to eat live prey and eggs. It's how they eat most things actually.
Can alter their height, mostly shrink to squeeze into small spaces.
Home:
Mongaro comes from an alternate reality in rural Madagascar where shapesculptors are most dense in population and participate in community life with humans. It lost count of the centuries it spent there to perfect its dimensional travel technique, and hasn't returned in a while since accidentally stumbling upon the spider-verse web.
Surprisingly unhoused and couch surfing for the most part, always looking to volunteer somewhere or stay busy. They've got too much energy for their own good.
Mongaro Trivia:
Bigenital (not to be confused with intersex). Fully functional and everything. AND Monpreg is possible (only if they consciously enable it though).
When it visited Miles G, it accidentally came in through their home's restroom and near scared him into shitting himself. Literally. Not its best first impression.
Is knowledgable as fuck but would consciously give a bitch the wrong info to sabotage them over the slightest hint of condescension, disrespect or ingratitude. Genuinely vengeful like that.😭
Doesn't re-mold their appearance much apart from height because it is way too tedious to get back to their desired body image otherwise.
Comically 3 inches shorter than Hobie.

Yeah, I suck at art. I’m fully aware. I tried my best but it was so hard like 😭 I know it’s probably difficult to understand what is going on with her suit so I’ll explain it and her backstory along with her abilities! Also, my phone camera wouldn’t capture the colors accurately so I added a filter so it could look more like it does irl. Still not exactly it but close enough!
Suit
Front of suit: So, she was involuntarily genetically altered. The green heart represents her true nature before the genetic alteration which was fully human and the bright pink spider on her chest represents her altered nature. The light pink is just there hehe. The green in general both just represents her true nature (human) along with nature itself and the bright pink just represents her genetically altered nature which is why her wrist gloves are also bright pink since that area is where her organic webs come out. She has tendrils wrapped around her arms and legs with leaves and white flowers on them to just represent nature itself. The white flowers are also on the back and palm of her gloves hehe. I didn’t draw it but there is also white flowers on her lateral malleolus. The spider legs curls like tendrils to represent nature as well. I added bows onto the front of her mask because there wasn’t anything to on with it.
Back of suit: On the back of her suit, there is another heart with grooves that is supposed to represent a tree along with “FNSW” which stands for “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Woman” and that is supposed to represent an tree engraving. The green heart is also meant to represent her true nature.
Of course, if she switched to her spider hybrid form (which I will get into after this) then her suit would rip which is why her suit is holographic and is activated and deactivated by her spiderweb necklace. (I didn’t add it onto her character design because it would have been hard to draw but please just pretend it’s on her XD)

How she gained her abilities
She gained her abilities from being involuntarily genetically altered.
When she was genetically altered, she became half human and half spider since she had her genes sliced with the spider DNA. Similar to Miguel but instead she has a spider hybrid form that she can thankfully switch to once she learnt how to control it. However, turning into her spider hybrid form is agonizing so she rarely does so unless necessary. At first, she was not happy about her spider hybrid form… like… at all. She didn’t know how to control it at first which means she could have turned into it at any moment. It took a long time for her to accept it but she eventually did. After some time, she did learn how to control it and how to use her abilities.
Spider hybrid form: I was unable to draw her spider form so I’ll just explain it. She has keeps her human upper half (from the hips up except for her eyes and fangs which turns spiderlike when she’s a hybrid) and a spider lower half from the hips down. The spider DNA she was genetically altered with is inspired by the Parasteatoda tepidariorum spider but all black. Her torso and bust is covered in black just like the rest of her spider body and so are her arms up to her upper arms (they look like long formal gloves) She has eight eyes that are bubblegum pink and she also turns 8 feet tall. A normal looking girl one moment and a freak of a nature the next moment. >_<
Abilities
Abilities when human: Since she is basically half spider now, she gained retractable microscopic hairs on her finger pads which gives her the ability to stick to walls (like Tobey Maguire, Spectular Spiderman and real spiders.) She also gained superhuman strength, speed, endurance along with a spider sense. She has organic webbing that shoots out from a small hole in her wrists like a real spider instead of webshooters.
Abilities when spider hybrid: When she’s a hybrid, she loses her spider sense and has poor eyesight because she has spider eyes at the moment. Because of this, she has amplified senses such as hearing and smell and touch along with paralyzing venom. She also relies on vibration using her legs to help her get around
Becoming Spider-Woman
She was reluctant to become the hero of NYC and have such a big responsibility on her shoulders but she is aware that if she has an ability to do good then she has a moral obligation to do that good (thanks TASM hehe) and becomes Spider-Woman to protect her loved ones and the innocent. While she generally enjoys being Spider-Woman, it does take a toll on her. Surprise surprise… she deals with stress, guilt and loneliness alone until she is recruited by the Spider-Society.
Relationships
Spider-Ham (best friends)
What made the two of them start talking was the fact that they both kinda became a different species. She was a full human until she was genetically altered and became half spider and Spider-Ham was once a full spider until he was bitten by a radioactive pig and became… fully a pig. Becoming a different species is kinda a big thing which they both understood. While Spider-Ham is from a cartoon dimension and wacky things happen all the time with everyone kind of just accepting it, what happened to him was still a shock even though he quickly accepted it. They talk to each other about it since they went through very similar things and he helped her to accept her spider hybrid form. With that aside, they do enjoy each others’ company and quickly become close friends.
This is a self insert so I ship myself with multiple characters so yeah hehe
