What does it take to be a darling & What does it mean ?

🍒 Definition: A darling / darling-ist is someone in a permanent, committed relationship with their Chérie / Chéri. This is a real relationship purely because of their love & devotion alone.

Similar to yumeshipping. But instead of dream-shipping, the love a Darling has manifests itself into a real relationship. The feeling they have is what makes it real and nothing else. This is true, real love, not a dream, not pretend, and not fantasy, which is the main difference between a chérishipper & yumeshipping.

Yumeshipping <- devoted to a dream

Being a Darling <- devoted to a reality (not another reality but your current/ it’s apart of your current reality.)

🍒 The love you have is real, that’s what’s real about the relationship.

Labels relating to being a Darlingist:

Sweetheartist - A Darlingist is someone who is fully devoted, a permanent label, while Sweetheartist is someone who is unsure. This can be because their love is new, they’re questioning, just early in the relationship, etc. A Sweetheartist is simply a questioning or early darling !

Chéri - A Chéri / Chérie is the lover of a darling/sweetheart ! This can be a fictional character but it doesn’t have to be. Anything & Anyone can be someone’s Chéri.

Chériship / Chérishipper - A term resembling selfshipping, moreso for those with fictional loves but anyone can use it as long as you have a Chéri.

Rules : 1. This is a permanent commitment that’s fully embedded into one’s life. It can be a private or public practice, but regardless, this is something that should be incorporated into your daily life & apart of your life style. 2. Harmful behaviors towards yourself & others is frowned upon/ to not be encouraged in any way. 3. Treat darlings seriously and be patient with sweethearts.

I'm officially taking the Darlingist label for myself and my husband 🥳🎉🎉

It makes all the sense in the world, he IS my husband irl and out, even if I struggle to bring it up to other people because I know I will be judged, and I devote myself whole to him irl. I am agamous/non-amorous irl, even if I'm allorose, and he will be my only partner from here onwards, as having another partner would feel like cheating on him anyway.

So for those who already know us it isn't really a surprise this label, as I already stated all those things before, this is just giving a proper name for that feelings and the bond I have with him ❤️

I will still use all the other terms I already use (selfshipper, fictorose, etc.) as they're well known and also because even if I love my husband seriously, sometimes I do love playing dolls with him xD I love being able to love him in so many different ways 💕
