T25 - Day 5 -double Workout Back to Back
Well, I’m posting about it - so you all know I didn’t actually die from doing two workouts back to back. I almost died getting up at stupid o’clock in the morning to make sure I had time to fit both in, along with a shower, breakfast and prepping for work - but you know. I got up, and I did it.
I chose to do Cardio first thinking I would save Lower Focus for afterwards as I hadn’t done Lower Focus before and somehow in my mind I convinced myself that if I did cardio second, I would get bored or just decide not to do it.
So off I went - cardio kicked my butt again, when there was ten minutes left to go, again my thoughts drifted towards death. My shoelace came untied, the cats thought it was a fantastic game - everyone had an exciting time.
Lower Focus was a lot similar to cardio, so I was a little surprised how easy it was to progress from one to the other. Six minutes in I was starting to flag and had already downed a full 500ml bottle of water already.
I’m not quite sure how I made it through to the end - I think it was probably two parts dumb perseverance (my legs were REALLY burning) and one part wanting to prove to people that I can do this.
I showered immediately after finishing, and now I’ve just eaten breakfast (chilli hummus on crumpets, if anyone is interested!) and I’m about to go and make a vegan mint choc chip protein shake to take with me to work.
I am so, so looking forward to my rest day tomorrow! (And I get to sleep in until 6:30! Hurray!)
