The concept of courtney being in a love triangle with scott and brick While duncan watches and suffers
This being Courtney’s face when she realizes she likes Scott is everything to me
Scottney wasn’t trying to recreate the Island good girl x bad boy duncney dynamic. I hear this so much and oh my gosh it annoys me. Scottney isn’t good girl x bad boy, it’s insane girl x evil boy. It wasn’t trying to ride off the popularity of Duncney IT WAS IT’S OWN THING. For Courtney Duncan was this chance for this type A, by the book, in line, girl to be a little messy and bad, and Scott was this chance for this type A, insane woman, who has literally threatened to kill people for money, to actually care about someone, to have another chance at love. A guy who who still let her be evil but also brought out the sweeter side of her. Everyday my love for Scottney grows. They could’ve honestly been above Aleheather for me if the writers knew what they were doing in AS
Reblog if you want a hypothetical 3d season of the TDI reboot to have a challenge based on the "Try not to laugh/smile" youtube challenge with a splash of America's Funniest Home Videos, where the contestants have to watch a compilation of home videos that various TD alums sent in of their adorable children and the reboot contestants have to resist the urge to laugh or smile. Highlights include
Belle (Courtney and Scott's kid) running around at a family reunion playing with balloons, and is then confused as to why her parents are screaming in terror at the sight of said balloons.
1 of Lindsay and Tyler's kids trying and failing to play t-ball at Easter, while their other kid is having a hard grasping the idea putting Easter eggs in their basket once you pick them up.
Zoey excitedly trying to get her and Mike's infant daughter, Shirley, to look at the cute outfits relatives got for Shirley, only for Shirley to look up for just 1 second before going back to trying to eat the Christmas ornaments.

I love Scott and Courtney because these are two very bad people, they have done horrible things, they are hated by their peers, they don’t even have any friends (going into All Stars), but they are just able to just be silly together
My Takes On Total Drama All-Stars (PART ONE <3)
Hello everyone!! (This is my first post on tumblr, how do i do this) I've been rewatching All-Stars recently and it had so much potential to be one of the best seasons of Total Drama. But as the story goes, it wasexecuted horribly, the pacing sucked, everyone was so ooc it hurt, everything about Courtney, Mike's whole plot. I could go on. Sooo, I rewrote some of the plots to, well, not ruin every single character included in the season.
Here are some things I would've changed about TDAS! <3 (spoliers, duh)
Remove Sam and Sierra from the season all together, Sam by all means is NOT an All-Star, I would've personally replaced him with Brick simply because, Brick was a powerhouse in a lot of the challenges during his time on ROTI, plus, his elimination was just one of the worst ones of the season. I would've replaced Sierra with Beth or Owen (Remind you, are both canonical winners). While Sierra did make it pretty far in her introduction season, she's by-far one of the most blandest characters, (especially without Cody), her whole thing with Cameron was not needed and felt extremely out-of-place. Sierra wasn't needed this season, she's borderline a horrible character, and she just isn't fun to watch without Cody (Even then, it's still extremely uncomfortable),
The whole Mal thing was extremely weird, in hindsight, it could've been super cool to watch, if the characters weren't completely dumbed down to make him even be remotely unsettling. They could've explained his motivations wayyyy better, personally, I like the idea that Mal was a defense mechanism that was created while Mike was in juvie (A plot point in the story that came out of nowhere). It also would've been better if they actually made him a character outside of "Mike's Evil Alter," He could've had a soft-spot for Zoey, making it so he would rig the game, cheat, do actually villainous things just to keep her in the game. He could've actually had motivations and a plan besides "Maybe I can break things." Like every other thing in this season he was just wasted potential.
AND, on the topic of Mike. They maybe could've actually made him a good rep for DID, the ending could've been him realizing that he doesn't need to resent his alters or do something like final fusion, it seemed like the wanted to go somewhere with that in the canon ending, but the fact it just came down to a reset button just seemed extremely, well, weird. Mike was an odd character this season, I think that it would've just been better to make him an early-merge boot. (Hii everyone. I AM NOT a certified psychologist, I am not a professional when it comes to DID. Please reach out if you have DID or are experienced with it because I want to be able to write Mike and his alters without offending anyone, hurting anyone, and by staying true to facts. I did quite a bit of research about DID but once again, I am not a professional and the last thing I want to do is spread misinformation about anything.)
Duncan, oh, Duncan. I saw something about how his little side-plot of him going soft should've been given to Heather. And I could not agree more. Duncan should've had a way earlier boot. I honestly only liked Duncan in Action and Island (mainly because Courtney), he just isn't a good character past World Tour. His breakup with Gwen was so underwhelming, buildup for about 4ish seasons ended with the most simple breakup ever. Personally if I had to choose I would've had Gwen end up with Trent. Gwuncan was bound to fail. They don't have anything in common besides being like a little brooding and wearing black.
On the somewhat topic of Heather. I really do think they should've just given Duncan's plot to Heather. It would've been so much more fun to watch if Heather was still trying to one up Alejandro while thinking she's loosing her edge. I also just loved Heather this season even if she got out way too early. Moonlight Madness was one of my favorite episodes for a reason, her pretending to be affected by the moon was the most in-character thing for her to do this season. It would've been fun for Alejandro and Heather to team up and screw everyone else but alas we can't be happy. I also think Heather leaving the totem is so ooc, she is not the same diva that got like half the cast eliminated in island. She's just so backgroundish this season besides in Moonlight Madness, she doesn't really have a plan, and she just seems completely off her game during All-Stars. She were cute in the finale though.
UHM, I wish they didn't destroy Courtneys character. In my ideal world Courtney would've made it to the finale. She honestly deserves it, also, SCOTTNEY. I love Scottney very very much, they were both screwed over, they are both hated, and they both don't have that many allies. Sure they were very random but just watching them felt so refreshing, I wished they didn't fall in love over the course of three episodes and that it was hinted at earlier in the season, (This probably wouldn't have been a problem if they just gave us 26 episodes instead of 13 All-Star Episodes and 13 P*hkit*w Island episodes) Scottney's dynamic as a whole just felt so much like season one Duncney. I also think that Courntey being a main antag would've been way better than Mal, she only got a few episodes in the limelight during Action, (Where she was the main antag that season). Scottney just should've been endgame imo. Courtney's list is so random, worst plot point ever, it came out of nowhere and could've been handled so much better.
So just to sum up this part, I wish they actually focused more on the characters instead of just rewriting all of them to have seven braincells combined to make Mal more unsettling. They could've had a fun season 1 vs season 2 character finale but they decided not to so they could have basically the same ending. Courtney and Zoey would've been fun to watch in the finale. Overall, no one has any motivations, everyone is just dumbed down to their stereotype or the complete opposite of it, (Courtney being soo type A to the point she makes a drawing of who she wants to eliminate, or Duncan just being a try-hard, when the reason he was liked as a character was because he just didn't care.)
I WILL be rewriting all of All-stars at some point just because I can't settle for the ending we got. Please do reach out if any of you guys have any tips for writing the characters, or just ideas in general, I love hearing what others have to say!
(this wasn't beta read i got too tired :( )
As a parting question, do you guys want me to reveal the elimination order for my All-Stars rewrite?
Yay/yes
Nay/no
