We're Still in Love with Scott McCall — Appreciation Week 2025 is Coming!
Get ready for this year’s Scott McCall Appreciation Week, running June 22-28, 2025! To participate, simply make something about Scott and tag it with #ScottMcCallWeek25, or mention us @scottappreciation. Gen works, all Scott ships, and all types of content (fics, edits, art, playlists, gifs, etc.) are welcome. We have included some suggested prompts below, and look forward to enjoying everything you create!
All fics must be Scott-centric and Scott-positive. Scott does not need to be the POV character, but the primary focus of the fic should be Scott’s emotions/interests/needs/etc.
WRITING PROMPTS:
Day One - Only If You Don't Learn: - Throughout the show, we see Scott defy uninformed traditions and prejudices time and again, whether it's through turning his enemies into friends, becoming a true Alpha, or refusing to give up on seemingly lost causes.
Day Two - I Think It's My Fault: Scott internalizes guilt so severely he keeps his wounds from healing and nearly dies from it—but when does that start? How does it affect him? What do his friends do in response?
Day Three - That Looks Kind of Important: Scott's only human, and today, that means play! What does Scott do to unwind? Practice lacrosse with Liam or run with Hayden? Play pranks on Stiles or Kira? Mess around on the guitar? Discuss!
Day Four - I Had A Plan, Too: As Peter Hale said in s1, not all teenagers are as smart as Scott! Scott's planning and alliance-making saves the day in multiple seasons, in big moments or quiet realizations. Use today to explore the way Scott thinks!
Day Five - I Made First Line: Let's talk ambition! What do Scott's hopes and dreams look like, whether it's in academia, relationships, lacrosse, or career? How did he react to getting into UC Davis? What did it take to move out of Beacon Hills? How did he defeat Monroe?
Day Six - It Doesn’t Look Like a Demon to Me: What does it mean to love so much you burn it into your arm? To keep safe the tail of someone you may never see? And how does Scott feel loved in return? This prompt is for exploring everything about Scott's relationship with love and lovers!

“Why is she still alive?” Stiles’ voice dripped with anger, and Scott felt blood rushing behind his ears, his pulse racing in a way it hadn’t since the tunnels. Or since he was trapped in the sheriff’s station by a mob of friends and acquaintances who wanted him and his dead. He’d hidden the truth from Stiles for so long—because the pack didn’t want to worry him, but mostly because the fear that clawed up inside them all seemed to loom even closer if he tried to name or describe it. But maybe this is what he’d been afraid of all this time.
