My old ex manager promised me 20+ hours a week, my availability was from 4am-4pm EVERY DAY except Sunday. I worked 4 hours (of janitorial, I was hired as shipment) EVERY SINGLE WEEK for like THREE MONTHS. In the end I literally could not go in on black Friday (I was threatened by my ex boyfriends sister) and so I just texted my manager that I quit. I got the last laugh, assholes.
Good riddance! Let that place screw over someone else’s hours who don’t care or don’t want to work as much. Hopefully you found a job after that that actually works with your hours and was willing to give more than 4 hours a week of work you weren’t even hired for.
Sounds like we got a nominee for Worst Manager of the Year on our hands!

Having a ton of anxiety about work tonight
I’m really hoping the schedule was fixed and it’s not accurate to what I’m going to walk into. There is only me and the supervisor scheduled after 4:45... that’s impossible. Last week there were only 3 of us scheduled and then the other person got off at 7:45, leaving just me and the supervisor and we got out an hour and 45 minutes late and it was ridiculously stressful. Crossing my fingers that more people have been put on the schedule and I just don’t have the updated one.... but I don’t have high hopes. I’m scared!
Yes customer, I do realize there’s only one other register besides me opened at this time. Thank you for pointing out that someone sucks at having enough people on because we cashiers CLEARLY had no idea!
