Does it also seem like they mixed together Usagi and Sasuke a bit in the 2012 series? Since that Usagi seems much older, and disappears into the snow like a spirit saying other innocents need his help at the end, perhaps I’m reading too much into it…or is it a possible foreshadow for Usagi actually being Sasukes replacement? Thoughts?
That is an interesting idea, 2012 Usagi does seem to more of Sasuke's no-nonsense-all-business personality. Though, I can't say I think it's meant to foreshadow anything. I'm pretty sure Usagi disappearing into the snow was just part of 2012's usual brand of aura farming. Plus, it seems like something you'd want to foreshadow in the actual comic and not in a crossover with TMNT 😭
Sasuke's existence honestly seems hellish and I wouldn't want that fate for Usagi (and I don't think Sasuke's appeared enough to make that a satisfying ending), but as like an alternate future it seems like a neat idea. Perhaps Sasuke would act as Lord Shoki, being Usagi's guiding spirit that tells him where danger lurks 🤔 I'd read an Usagi the Demon Queller story for sure 😭
