So! My idea is like all based on Vickie's 'icy' reaction to Nancy in One Way or Another. I read that, and I was like "Oh, that girl is crafting a STORY in her head rn" bc honestly, if I were her, I would too.

We don't see Robin's POV, so I don't know if anything had actually developed between Robin and Vickie between Spring break (s4) and graduation (one way or another). But Vickie's probably at least, like, come to terms with the idea that she likes Robin. And then she sees her with Nancy fucking Wheeler. Princess of Hawkins High. Suddenly all buddy-buddy...

Anyway, then we get to S5. And I'm thinking that Vickie first starts to notice Robin and Nancy are super close around this time, right? Because Robin and Nancy spend so much time together at the radio station, and such.

But this is also around the time that Robin keeps canceling on dates...

Are you picking up what I'm throwing down?

Vickie, obviously, knows that Robin is a lesbian. And who is the only age-appropriate girl in that group that Vickie's mind could snag on as a potential reason that Robin is cancelling??

Nancy motherfucking Wheeler.

Now, I don't think that would be enough for Vickie. She seems like a pretty self-assured girl. I don't see any reason to think she would be so self-conscious that she would immediately jump to her girlfriend cheating or something.

So, Robin cancels these dates, right? Goes to 'hang out' (Deal w Upside Down stuff) with Nancy, right? Probably lies to Vickie about going to 'hang out' with Nancy, because that's too close to the Upside Down stuff that Robin is trying to keep from her, right???

And Nancy? She has trauma over her friends. She doesn't want to lose Robin like she's lost friends in the past, and so she acts super protective over her. We can assume this is also why she canonically always sits so close to her.

But Vickie doesn't know that.

Just imagine Vickie's face the first time she saw Nancy sit on the arm of Robin's chair.

And, by this point, she knows Nancy as "Walk 'Em Down Wheeler". She knows her girlfriend is a literal monster hunter in a friend-group full of monster hunters.

And the de facto, badass female leader is, like, obsessed with her girlfriend.

And we don't even have to think about this in a ronance context. I personally also love thinking about it with Nancy being absolutely oblivious to the way Vickie's eye twitches every time Nancy wordlessly takes the chair closest to Robin or quietly fusses over her accidentally cutting herself. I love the idea of this being a one-sided rivalry in which Vickie thinks she has to keep her guard up because Nancy will swoop in like a knight in shining armor if she makes a mistake, but Nancy only freaks out about whether Robin drank enough water that day because she doesn't want to lose her friend to kidney failure OR to a monster attack, not because she's trying to seduce her.

Listen, I'd think Nancy was trying to be Miss Steal Yo Girl as well...

So, some headcanons.

Nancy insists on driving Robin places, even when Vickie is available to drive her. Robin is also the only one that Nancy lets pick the music in her car, and she consistently calls her "My own personal DJ". Vickie wants to tear the headrest off of the driver's seat and beat her with it.

They have matching friendship bracelets. Robin never takes hers off and neither does Nancy. When Vickie got Robin a necklace for Valentine's Day, she stopped wearing it after a few days because she had an allergic reaction. Vickie is fully aware this is a stupid reason to be pissed at Nancy, but she's nothing if not consistent.

Robin fell asleep on Nancy's shoulder instead of Vickie's at movie night, once. Vickie could have popped her own bowl of popcorn with the amount of furious heat that was radiating from her.

While Robin was in the bathroom, when the group was finishing up lunch at a diner, Vickie mentioned wanting to buy her a chocolate milkshake to surprise her. Nancy clicked her tongue (CLICKED HER TONGUE!) and said Robin doesn't like chocolate milkshakes, and TOLD Vickie to get her strawberry. Vickie did, and Robin loved it, but that's not the point!

Robin said she was feeling sick, and Vickie was busy doing something, so she suggested that maybe she just had the sniffles. Nancy took it upon herself to walk up to her and put the back of her hand on Robin's forehead, then say it felt like Robin had a temperature and that they needed to make a pitstop on the way home to get her some cold medicine. She's not even the one who works in healthcare!

Robin once dared Vickie and Nancy to see who could carry her for the longest. Vickie went first and picked Robin up bridal-style, admitting it was a bad idea because that's a bad way to distribute weight. Nancy went second and, based on what Vickie herself had said, picked Robin up by her waist. And the fury that coursed through her upon seeing her girlfriend's legs wrapped around Nancy Wheeler was almost enough to make her black out. To make it worse, Nancy demolished her because of the advantage she got from her suggestion!

Robin wanted to be completely honest with Vickie and told her that she and Nancy made out while under the influence, once, before Robin and Vickie got together. Every time she thinks about it, Vickie paces her room in circles like a psychiatric patient.

Nancy once told Vickie that if she ever hurt Robin, there wouldn't be a corner of the world that Vickie could hide in that Nancy wouldn't find her. They laughed about it, but Vickie still doesn't know whether she was actually joking or not (she wasn't).

Robin going Hawkins Memorial Hospital to find both her girlfriends wearing her favourite outfit (she’s definitely internally freaking out just a teeeeeeenie bit)

Like Dustin wants to go over and hangout with Steve, he goes to Jonathan's place first cause where he is almost always. Even if Jancy get together, OR Ronance and Stonathan are the main couples, they're still all attached to the hip.

Now I'm thinking of them in a poly relationship lowkey. Jancy, Stancy, Stonathan, Ronance, maybe even Rovickie? Or am I pushing it too far now? Vickie could get with Nancy too, maybe even Jonathan if she wanted idk.
