so, uh, i've technically been studying dutch for 2 years now
i say technically cause i've been so shit at consistency and actually doing it and shit
i marked the anniversary into my calendar in hopes i'd get re-motivated at this point, be it by guilt or actual motivation, but i'm so fucking busy?? i'm sorry
so, i do wanna get back into studying dutch at some point this year, i just had some realizations: i need to find something to get attached to. i need dutch music, that's the easiest one, something in dutch to worm into my brain
call it exposure or whatever, but it's seriously the best way for me to do this shit
(like, for clarification, i do know like basic verb conjugation in tenses and how to make sentences and questions and use auxiliary verbs etc etc, all that y'know? i just... never really moved past that part i guess)
i've read like 50+ pages of ingrian funeral laments in two days for this essay, my brain feels like it's melting hhhh
don't get me wrong, i chose to do this and this is really fascinating to me, it's just... a lot
for my first proper essay of uni too hh

nothing really happened during the summer so i didn't have anything to post on this side, but !! now i started uni and i'm so excited !!!
it's pretty tough, but i finally get to study stuff i'm actually really interested in :) we're starting with phonology and morphology, and all the upcoming courses sound so !!! interesting !!!
a bit late but celebrated my gf's birthday earlier this week :)
