My endless quest to get a terf to say she doesn't work with nazis continues, pointlessly.

and of course El looks like she's been stabbed while everybody else(Mike) loses their mind

"What does he mean, what does he mean?! what did you do?!" and Will barely peeks through, asking Henry what he means and then Vecna takes back over, laughing like an asshole bc it really is just that funny to him.

"Do you think I opened the door that night, William?" and El is crying trying to explain herself, but people(Mike) isn't letting it go, until the truth comes out. She opened the door for the Demogorgon, she was supposed to be taken instead, she "took" Will's place.

Everybody's crying, Vecna is laughing using Will's voice, Someone(Probably Kali if I'm being honest bc Hopper sucks now and Joyce is just cursing Henry and losing her mind) says it's not her fault, but she refuses to believe it, calling herself a monster.

and then "You're not." Will; his soft voice, his kind hazel eyes, the cadence he uses when he's trying to comfort her, "You're not a monster, you're my sister. It's not your fault."

She says "You are wrong! It was me, you are wrong." "Then I forgive you." and she cries harder, but her face is determined even as Vecna's malice seeps back into Will's face.

And she gets him out. Will is back. And they're going to the Abyss to end it once and for all.

But El doesn't believe it, not really. How could she be forgiven for that? She's always been a monster and if she keeps living she'll just make more.

So the battle ends, and she's standing in the entrance to the Abyss planning to die, but she still has one more apology to make, she didn't get to do it properly before.

Will is in the void, he hates this place, but El is there and he can talk to her instead of screaming at her across a military base.

She tries to apologize. she says she's a monster, says she took his life, his friends, his clothes. mike.

Will argues that he doesn't care, that maybe he hated her for that, but he doesn't anymore, that he needs his sister now, that she's not allowed to take her away from him.

"I want to spend Christmas with you this year so it doesn't feel like I'm missing something the whole day, I want you at my graduation so you can steal my hat and call it ugly, I want to complain about Mom's terrible cooking even when you use all the syrup, I wanna complain about boys finally, I just want my sister to come home with me, Jane!"
