This Hazbin Hotel collage is of the Speaker of God and Velvette, I have been meaning to make this collage ever since I came across a Tumblr ship post on the two, and I thought Pride Month would be perfect for it. If both Vaggie and Sera turned out to be Lesbians like Velvette, than maybe the Speaker could be one too as I would like to see more of her.

Lost Voiceđ¶đ(RBA FANFIC)
Summary: A mysterious box is left for Hot Shot after he finished his chores, but heâs not sure what it is. So when he decides to ask Boulder and Perceptor to examine it, the box looked directly at Hot Shot, it zapped him. And when he tried to speak, he couldnât. Now the team has to find that box and get Hot Shotâs voice back, before any other voices from the bots are stolen.
Characters:
Recruits:
Hot Shot( Heatwaveâs son and a cube-player.)
Whirl(ever optimistic and idolizesÂ
her mentor Chase)
Hoist(the repair-bot and aspiring inventor of the team)
Medix(the doc-bot and Ratchetâs nephew, who loves logic and predictability)
Wedge(the construction bot of the team)
Heatwaveâs team:
Heatwave(Hotshotâs dad and mentor, leader of Rescue Force Sigma-17 and Fire-Bot of the team)
Boulder(the Construction-Bot of Heatwaveâs team)
Blades(Medixâs mentor,Acrophobic Copter-Bot of Heatwaveâs Team)
Other characters:
Quickshadow(Heatwaveâs wife, Hot Shotâs mother, sleek, stylish and very secretive)
Ratchet(Medixâs uncle and medical officer, part of Optimus Primeâs team)
Perceptor(A good friend of Bumblebeeâs and made Medix his teaching assistant)
Hotshot was finishing his chores outside raking the leaves.
Hot Shot: And, done. All chores complete! Now to get to class before Iâm late.
He then noticed something shiny beside the pile of leaves he raked.
Hot Shot: Huh? Whatâs this?(walks to have a closer look)
He picks it up and mumbled to himself: What is this?
He decided to take it to the lab, where Boulder and Perceptor were organizing some supplies.
Perceptor: Last one in place. Perfectly organized now.
Boulder: Definitely. Youâre quite good at this Perceptor.
Hot Shot then came in.
Hot Shot: Morning, professors.
Boulder turned around: Hey, good morning, Hot Shot.(notices the box) What do you have there?
Hot Shot: I found this outside. But I was hoping that you two could help me figure out what it is.
Perceptor scanned it: Fascinating. Though it appears not to be Cybertronian or Velocitronian tech.
Boulder: And you found it beside the leaf pile you raked outside?
Hot Shot nodded.
They decided to run some tests, but the box glowed all of a sudden.
Boulder: Huh?Â
Hot Shot: Why is it glowing? Is it magic?
Perceptor: I do not believe itâs magic. Perhaps itâs more logical than it appears to be.
Suddenly, it got closer to Hot Shot, and he started to back away. He got a little frightened. The box glowed brighter, and suddenly, let out a laser, which hit Hot Shot directly, sending him backwards.
Boulder, in a panic and worry, went toward Hot Shot and helped him up.
Boulder: Hot Shot, are you okay?!
Perceptor: Blink twice if yes. Or just say âIâm fine.â
Hot Shot tried to say something, but he suddenly realized⊠he couldnât speak! He clutched his throat and tried again. Nothing.Â
Hot Shot:(to himself in his kind) Whatâs goin on?! Why canât I talk?!Â
Boulder: Uhhh, Hot Shot?Â
Perceptor: Oh my.
Suddenly, the door opened, and Heatwave walked in.
Heatwave:(looking at Hot Shot with concern) Hey, kiddo. Youâre never late now. What happened?(getting down and closer)
Hot Shot tried to talk, but still, no sounds came out. What was going on?!
Boulder: Uh ohâŠ
Heatwave: Wait⊠Why canât you talk? Are you alright?(to Boulder and Perceptor) What happened to my kidâs voice!? Why isnât he saying a sound or word?
Boulder picked up this box, and shook it: Ummm, that box⊠It- mightâve stolen his voice.
Heatwave: Youâre telling me that now?! Whatâs going on? Explanation- now!
Perceptor: As you see, Hot Shot found this box, and he wasnât sure what it was and brought it to us. So then we tried to investigate, but nothing.
Boulder: Thatâs when it zapped Hot Shot when it beamed a light at him.Â
Heatwave: Hmm⊠maybe itâs a trap.(to Hot Shot) But you did the right thing to go to tell and show it to someone first. You should never touch things youâre not familiar with.
Hot Shot nodded slyly. He was actually embarrassed about not being able to talk. Wait. Maybe he could find another way to communicate, without speaking. His optics caught sight on a notepad and a pencil. Maybe⊠Thatâs it!
Heatwave: What are you doing, son?Â
Hot Shot showed Heatwave what he was doing, writing in the notepad with the pencil to communicate.Â
He wrote down: If I canât use my words verbally speaking, I thought writing. Iâm mute in a way.(looking at the box with fear)That thing stole my voice.(backing away, getting close to Heatwave)
Heatwave petted Hot Shotâs head. He knew he needed to take time with Hot Shot. Wait, for Primeâs sake, needed to know how to do sign language.
Hot Shot realized and flustered, writing: I can use the sign language that Professor Boulder taught me.
Boulder facepalmed: Why do I forget I gave those lessons?
Perceptor rolled his optics and facepalmed.
Boulder:(turns down to Hot Shot, uses sign language) Donât worry. Weâll figure this out. We wonât give up now, itâs time to find out what happened.
Hot Shot answered back: You promise? But how will my friends understand my sign language if they donât know how to use it?(looking at the notepad and pencil) I know I can write to them about this problem.
Heatwave got down and said: Donât worry. They may not believe it at first, but you can try. If they ask something like âTry to scream,â scream, and then theyâll see that youâre telling the truth.
Boulder: Iâll let Ratchet know about this, if you want.Â
Hot Shot nodded in agreement. He wanted Ratchet to help as well. He could have a check with this box. And if they get his voice back, maybe Ratchet could give him voice tests.
Back with the other recruits, Whirl was helping Wedge and Hoist with a new invention Hoist had been working on.
Hoist: Thanks for the help guys. This means a lot to me.
Whirl: Thatâs why weâre a team. We help each other out.
Wedge: You know it. (fixing a bolt) And⊠done!(stretches) That should do it.Â
Hot Shot then entered, still holding the notepad and pencil.Â
Medix noticed him enter and said: Hot Shot, what took you so long? You were 3 minutes and 40 seconds late.
Hot Shot didnât say anything, feeling quite embarrassed due to the problem.
Whirl: Hey, you okay? Youâre awfully⊠quieter.
Wedge: Thatâs so unlike you, dude. Are you alright?
Hot Shot couldnât say anything. So he wrote down on the notepad: âA box stole my voice. And I canât speak.â
Wedge snorted: Pfft.(snickers) Is this another one of your pranks?Â
Whirl giggled: It has to be. Thatâs the funniest joke ever.(giggles) Thatâs a good one!
Alrhough, Medix examined Hot Shot carefully, and looked at him. He got closer.
Medix: I donât think itâs a prank. There is only one way to see if heâs telling the truth. Okay. Hot Shot, if youâre telling the truth about your voiceâŠtry to scream.
When Medix said âscreamâ, Hot Shot took a deep breath, even if it wasnât heard, and screamed. But yet, no sound.
Then they all realized, Hot Shot was telling the truth.
Hoist gasped: No way. So youâre actually telling the truth?!
Whirl: But, how? How is that-?
Hot Shot wrote on the notepad: Iâm not so sure, but Perceptor and Boulder are trying to figure out what it is. I actually found it after taking the leaves this morning.
Whirl: Thatâs really strange. And it didnât say anything, to who it belongs to?Â
Hot Shot wrote again: No. It didnât say anything. No symbols, no origin, nothing. It wasnât even on Perceptorâs data.
Medix: Oh, the audacity! (arms crossed) I must have a word with this box.
Whirl: No, I should. Iâm the police bot of the team. Iâm gonna be bad cop for this!(acting up) Okay punk, talk now, or weâll be here all day and night!
The boy bots stared at Whirl, so she stopped, and slyly chuckled.
Whirl: Donât worry, Hot Shot. Iâm sure Boulder and Perceptor will figure out how to get your voice back, I know it.
Hot Shot smiled and wrote down: Thanks, Whirl.
Wedge: We really shouldâve paid more attention to Boulderâs sign language lesson.
Hot Shot wrote down: And here I am,of all of us , the only one who paid attention to the lessons. I canât believe you guys, specially you, Medix.đYouâre always attentive to the lessons.
Whirl: I may have been doodling on my data pad.(rubbing her back sheepishly)
Hoist: But weâve got your back. Maybe you can teach us what you know?
Hot Shot nodded. That, he could do. So he did all he knew and learned from sign language and helped his friends learn so they could communicate until Boulder and Perceptor could retrieve his voice from the box.Â
Heatwave saw from afar, had a small smile form. Though on the inside, he was worried on how long itâll take to get his sonâs voice back.Â
Heatwave:(to himself) Itâs gonna be hard this week. I wish I knew sign language to communicate with him. But at least heâs thinking like a Rescue Bot, like I taught him. Maybe I can write to him on a notepad as well, just to also communicate with him until everything is sorted out.
A few days laterâŠÂ
One day, Hot Shot was helping Heatwave organize some stuff in his office. Hot Shot tried to stay calm and put on a small smile. But Heatwave knew Hot Shot must still be struggling with having no voice to say his words.
Heatwave got down: You donât have to act like youâre okay. If I were walking in your shoes, I totally understand how youâre feeling.
Hot Shot looked at him. âWalking in my shoes?â he thought confused.
He wrote down: I donât wear shoes.Â
Heatwave chuckled, petting Hot Shot in the head.
Heatwave: Itâs a figure of speech, kiddo. It means⊠to understand you better if I were in your place.Â
Hot Shot then wrote: I guess I was just trying to act tough and brave. But, truth is, Iâm a bit scared. What if I canât speak again?
Heatwave: Hot Shot, I know weâll get it back. Because you have hope.Â
Hot Shotâs optics watered with tears, and he hugged Heatwave, and not letting go. Heatwave returned the act, and hugged Hot Shot tightly, rubbing a hand on his back as well.
Heatwave: Easy, itâs okay. Iâm here, son.
Hot Shot calmed down a bit. Heatwave was right, he never lost hope on getting his voice back.
After a while, Hot Shot went back to his dorm, and he sat writing down on a notebook. He was writing his feelings, and the sign language, the box that stole his voice, but he scribbled something else, but quickly closed it when he heard the dorm room open, and the other recruits came in.
Whirl:Â Hey. How you feeling?
Hot Shot wrote down: I guess Iâm alright. Itâs just difficult not being able to speak now. And itâs hard to use sign language.
Wedge: Yeah, no kidding. Iâm literally still trying to understand it. Itâs so confusing!Â
Hoist: Oh, I really hope Boulder and Perceptor found anything about that stealing-box.
Medix: All we can do though, is wait for answers.
They all nodded and saidâAgreed.â Letâs hope answers come better safe than sorry.
With Boulder and Perceptor:
Boulder tried to pull the box, but it was made of some strong material, he couldnât even break it.
Boulder: What, is this made of?!(kicks it) Ow. Welp, Iâm not doing that again.
Perceptor: Hmmm, perhapsâŠ(scanning again) Wait a second. Iâm getting readings!
Boulderâs optics widened in shock: Now? Well, what do they say?!
Perceptor: Theyâre justâŠ(squints) I canât understand what they say.Â
Boulder: Ohh. Well maybe theyâre dusted.(blows)
Nope, no dust.
Boulder: Okay, I was so wrong. Thereâs no dust.
Perceptor: Hold on.(inspecting closer) It actually says something. And thereâs a logo as well.
Boulder looked at it closer: I swear, Iâve seen that logo before. The M. But I canât remember⊠where on Cybertron have I seen it?Â
Heatwave then came in again to the lab.
Heatwave: So⊠Anything?
Boulder: We may have found something. Take a look at this symbol.
Hot Shot was behind Heatwave, holding a notepad and a pencil, still using them to write and communicate with everyone.
Heatwave: Hmmm⊠weâve seen that symbol before, Boulder.
Boulder: Thatâs what I was thinking! But I canât remember or add any puzzle pieces to where it was that weâve seen it before.
Hot Shot looked at it with his optics, as if he wanted to help on his own case.
Heatwave put his hand in Hot Shotâs shoulder and said: Hey, Iâm glad that youâre doing your best to help and communicate with all of us. Just so you know, we will get your voice back.
Hot Shot smiled, then wrote in the notebook: Thanks, Dad. Youâre the best father in the world a recruit could ask for.
Heatwave hugged Hot Shot tight, knowing that faith also had good stuff in store for them. They were gonna get his sonâs voice back, one way or the other.
Heatwave: Hang on a secondâŠ
Heatwave got close to the box, lifting it up carefully.
Heatwave: Iâll bet that this âMâ was meant as someoneâs name.
Hot Shot wrote down: So maybe it was someoneâs invention, or a criminalâs?
Heatwave: Exactly. So, who have we faced off whose name starts with âMâ?
Thatâs when it hit Boulder on the spark.
Boulder: Of course! A certain âdoctorâ whoâs been our enemy from the moment he came!
Hot Shot suddenly realized, and wrote down on the notepad: Are you saying-?
Heatwave nodded: I am. Dr. Morocco!
They gasped.
Perceptor: But, Chase and Blades had told me that he was sent to the future, in France to be exact.
Boulder: There may be inventions of his that are still around. Like that computer virus he caused at the arcade.
Heatwave: Exactly.Â
Hoist: Cody told us about that story. Wow. I-I never knew how much trouble a computer virus could cause.
Boulder: Okay, so he made this box for a reason. But what?
Perceptor scanned it again, and found something.
Perceptor: It appears that this has some sort of combination of other voices. That has that note that relies on their talent of music.
Heatwave: Maybe singing? I think it has to do with someoneâs singing voice.Â
Boulder: Like a contraption to capture those who sing, but only their voices. It makes so much sense.
Hot Shot wrote down on the notepad: Is there a way to prove it?
Perceptor: Thatâs what science is for, Hot Shot. We just need someoneâs singing voice to prove this steals those with talent.Â
Heatwave: Iâll call the recruits. One of them could do the test, and if weâre correct, that box will steal their voice.
They all agreed. So Heatwave called the recruits in, and told them about the box being from Dr. Morocco, and that it stole voices to those who have talent.
Whirl: Woah. So thatâs why it stole Hot Shotâs voice.
Perceptor: Precisely. But we must be sure itâs true. We need one of you four to sing, and if the box gets close and zaps, weâll be sure that it steals voices with singing talent.
They exchanged glances at each other.
Medix: Iâm no fan of singing, but thereâs a 62% chance that we might be able to get this box to reveal the truth.
Hoist: You all know Iâm not always that brave, especially when it comes to singing.
Whirl raised her hand: Iâll do it. If thatâs the only way to spill the truth on this box and get Hot Shotâs voice back, Iâll be willing to take that risk.
Hot Shotâs optics beamed, and he wrote down on the notepad: âThanks, Whirl. I appreciate that.â
Whirl smiled and walked up to the box.
Whirl: Okay, punk. Time to spill the truth out of you!
Whirl closed her optics, takes a deep breath, and starts to sing a song.
The song sheâll sing lyrics from: Call Me Maybe(Carly Rae Jespen)
đ¶Iâd trade my soul for a wish,Â
Pennies and dimes for a kiss,
I wasnât looking for this,
But now youâre in my wayđ¶
Suddenly, the box starts whirring energy.
Hoist: Uh oh.
Medix: Easy now.
Wedge: Whatâs it doing?
Hot Shot scribbled: The same it did to me.
He then realize and scribbled again to warn. Whirl, watch out!
Whirl: Whoa!
She quickly dodged the zap of the box just in time. But it started to go where she went. But just as it was about to hit her directlyâŠÂ
Hot Shot blocked its path and took it instead.
He felt embarrassed, feeling he ruined the test. But Perceptor and Ratchet were fascinated.
Heatwave walked towards him, and so did Perceptor and Ratchet.
Heatwave: Oh, Primes, donât scare me like that, kid.
Ratchet: Well, that just sums it all up.
Hot Shot scribbled down: I didnât want Whirl to lose her voice as well.
Whirl hugged him: You were really brave, Hot Shot.
Medix: Indeed. You had the courage to protect Whirl.
Perceptor: But you both have confirmed this force very well. This box steals voices with great talents.
Hoist: So thereâs a way to get his voice back then. Is there a vice versa?
Ratchet: Itâs possible it has a vice versa. Since it stole the voice, thereâs always a way to reverse it.
Hot Shot scribbled: Like finding how the problem started before solving it. First is finding the cause of the problem.
Heatwave: Exactly. Now, whoâs ready to get to the truth underneath this box?
The recruits(minus Hot Shot): We are!
Boulder picked up the box and placed it in the center.
Wedge: Well,(standing in front of the box) time to crack this mystery wide open!
Medix: Just be cautious, it could zap at any second or moment.
Wedge looked at Medix: Soooo⊠no bashing or smashing?
Boulder: Probably not. If we were to do that, the voices would probably be destroyed⊠forever.
The recruits gasp in horror, and Hot Shot stood there, in shock. He could lose it forever if it was smashed.
Hoist: Is there a way to hold it? And without being hit by its zap?
Boulder: Iâm sure there is a way. Because thereâs always a solution to a problem. We just have to think smarter, not harder.Â
Perceptor: Exactly. So, we know that Dr. Morocco made this to steal voices.Â
Medix: So perhaps he built a failsafe, and then Hot Shotâs voice could be free!
Ratchet picked it up: Hmmm, if this box were to be treated like a data container⊠then itâs possible it has a digital access point. So if we can find a way to get inside its programming without triggering its defensesâŠ
Whirl: Then we can get Hot Shotâs voice back!
Hot Shot wrote in the notebook: So itâs like in those movies. Finding the villainâs weakness.Â
Back at the Lab
The box was surrounded by force fields, Ratchet and Perceptor monitoring it.
Perceptor then received a signal inside it.
Perceptor: I spotted something. Ratchet, have a look.
Ratchet took a look.
Ratchet: What is it?
Perceptor: It appears that weâve located what seems to be a central interface panelâcoded to respond only to vocal biometric data. Thatâs probably how it knows who to steal from.
Ratchet: So thatâs why it didnât activate to me, or you. We donât sing. But Hot Shot and Whirl can.
Heatwave: Okay, so, the only to get Hot Shotâs voice back, is for Whirl to sing.
Hot Shot wrote: I wonât intervene in the testing to get my voice back. Whirl and I will do anything.
Heatwave pat his head, nodding.
Perceptor: Well, your voice is still intact in the box. Thank Primus.
Ratchet: Okay. You two go in, and Whirl, sing.
The chamber doors opened, and Hot Shot and Whirl stepped inside. Then, they hissed closed. The force field faintly casted a pale blue glow in the room, and the mysterious voice-stealing box was still resting in the center.
Ratchet:(through the comms) Okay, you two. Weâre monitoring from here. Stay calm. Whirl, whenever youâre ready, sing.
Whirl took a deep breath, and glanced at Hot Shot, and he gave her an encouraging nod. And even though he couldnât speak, his optics sparkled.
Whirl: Okay⊠here I go.
She started to sing, and it triggered the box again.
đ¶Your stare was holdin'
Ripped jeans, skin was showin'
Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where you think you're goin', baby?đ¶
đ¶Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy
But here's my number, so call me maybe
It's hard to look right at you, baby
But here's my number, so call me maybeđ¶
The box triggered.
Ratchet: Oh, look! Itâs working!
Hot Shot scribbled down: Keep going, Whirl! Donât stop!
Whirl kept going, and they examined carefully to know what would occur.
The boxâs whirr had deepened into a ringtone that threaded through the lab, searching for a pitch. Thin filaments of pale energy had unfurled from its seams and danced in the air.
Ratchet: (through the comms, tight) Keep it steady, Whirl. Donât change the tempo. Weâre recording the harmonic resonance.
Perceptor: (watching the console) Itâs matching to those of a biometric signature.
And then, a chill cut through all of it. From the box, faint and distorted voices came.Â
One sounded very hype, similar.
Whirl: Hot Shotâs voice.
Ratchet: (through the monitor, comms) Hot Shot, now!
The box whirred, and right on cue, Hot Shot got in the way, and hit by the boxâs zap.
Boulder: Hang on, kiddo. Stay with us.
Whirl turned to Hot Shot, who lay on the ground.
Whirl: Hot Shot?
Heatwave went inside, kneeling next to Hot Shot, slowly lifting his head with his hands.
Heatwave: Hey- a-are you hurt?
Hot Shot blinked slowly, and he was feelingâ quite dizzy from the sudden burst of energy. Inside, he felt his voice box tingle a little, then he let out some coughs.
Hoist: Are you alright?
Medix: Easy now.
Heatwave: Hot Shot?
Hot Shot: (speaking, but coughs) Dad?Â
Heatwave: Hot Shot?
Hot Shot realized.
Hot Shot: (touched his throat) My voice⊠My voice is back!
All the recruits cheered.
Whirl: Woohoo-hoo-hoo!
Hoist: Alright!
Wedge: Yes!
Hot Shot got up with Heatwaveâs help.
Heatwave: (pulls him in for a hug) Itâs okay, kid. Youâre safe.
Hot Shot: I got my voice back.(feels tears in his optics)
Heatwave: (rubbing his sonâs back, soothing) Itâs okay. Youâre okay.
Ratchet walked over to them.
Ratchet: Well, this box will have to stay in a secure area until further notice. (turns to Hot Shot) And Iâll give you a quick voice checkup after everythingâs calmed down.
Boulder: And Iâll give this to Doc Greene to keep it locked in a safe place so it doesnât steal voices again.(picks up the box and leaves the room)
Hot Shot: Feels great to talk again.
Heatwave: Agreed.
Wedge nudged Hot Shot.
Wedge: So, whenâs the next concert?
Hot Shot blinked, and bumped Wedge on the arm.
Medix intervened and replied back at them.
Medix: Not until Uncle Ratchet gives his voice a good checkup.
Hot Shot: And I need rest.
Hoist: (wraps arms around them) Youâll be alright.
The recruits and Heatwave all chuckled as it all ended.
THE END
I deserve a chance to wear your voice box as a fascination, you undead piece of trash!
