For all of my folks with relational trauma and anxiety. Please think about these when you’re deciding how to categorize people in your life. Whether it’s friendships, aquantinces, or people you are thinking of distancing yourself from:
• Positive regard
- things you genuinely like about the person
• Tolerated traits (neutral or mildly annoying things you accept)
- things you tolerate
• Adaptation/adjustment (how you change your behavior to maintain the relationship)
- things you quietly adjust to
