Here’s the finished “L’homme Qui Rit” manire noire lithography print. Thanks, I hate it. The stone rolled up pretty much COMPLETELY filled in after the second etch, so I had to do a THIRD etch to get ANYTHING out of it. And then these FOSSILS in the stone kept printing, no matter how much I honed them out, so there was THAT. well, yesterday was a complete, unmitigated failure. the shading was just too diffuse to work as a cliche-verre print. It looked mushy, for lack of a better word. I'm returning to the drawing board... so to speak... + using a different paper + a new approach to the shading.
