Went to lunch with @mattbasora today to the @redmaplecafe in Burbank. Loved it and being able to sit outside. The first pic is my meal, the Brisket Green Onion Wafflewich- slow roasted brisket, pickled onions, lime crema, fresh cilantro, served on a green onion infused Belgian waffle. I had the mint watermelon salad on the side. Setting aside my high standards for brisket (one of the things I miss about Texas), this was really good. I enjoyed it. Matt got the Ahi “Poke” bowl- wild caught ahi tuna tossed in a house-made Hawai’ian poke sauce served with sushi white rice topped with a house/made lemon soy vinaigrette, masago, green onion, shredded carrots, edamame, pickled cucumbers, avocado, and pickled white ginger. Red Maple Brisket Burger - 1/4 lb. Angus beef patty cooked medium, slow roasted brisket, cheddar cheese, arugula, house made crispy onions green onion aioli all sandwiched between a bun of fluffy fresh baked brioche.
