Kol: This is a very bad idea. Rebekah: I would have thought you liked bad ideas. Kol: Only when they are mine.
Set in the boyking!Klaus AU
After they flee the de Martels and Father, they are reduced back to nomads. Wandering through the countryside, killing, feasting, running.
Rebekah misses the life she carved for herself at court. The pretty things, the attention of men.
Kol laments the loss of their refuge as well. He throws himself on the ground next to Rebekah after their latest slaughter—a company of about fifteen travelers. Their tents were pitched for the night, the fires lit. Their watchmen gave no warning.
Rebekah and her brothers piled the corpses in the forest nearby, so they could rest for the night without the smell of the dead in their lungs.
(They don’t need to sleep. They don’t even need a fire to keep them warm. But Nik has already dragged Elijah into one of the tents, where they make no effort to hide the sounds of their pleasure.)
Rebekah: Okay, I'm not trying to be a bitch.
Kol: The title of your biography.

12. Rebekah & Henrik
The thing people tend to forget—even her brothers sometimes—is that Rebekah was an older sister once too.
She is five when Henrik comes into the world, red-faced and crying. He keeps them all up those first few weeks, but Rebekah doesn’t mind. She likes to sit with her mother and play with her baby brother, hiding her face behind her hands and then revealing herself again—it never fails to make Henrik gurgle happily when he sees his sister. She sings to him sometimes, when he’s fussy and Mother is busy with her spells or the others. Henrik seems to like her most of all her siblings, and Rebekah feels her heart swell with love every time he smiles at her.
When he’s a little older, Mother sometimes lets her watch Henrik, and—as they are closest in age and always spent much time together—she’s often joined by Kol. They would sit in a clearing a little while into the forest, close enough to run to their mother if anything happened, but far enough away that there was no chance of their father or one of the villages stumbling upon them to chide them lazing about.
She still remembers vividly one of these afternoons, when they sat under the big tree in the clearing, enjoying the sun and munching on the cakes—sweetened with honey and still warm—they had filched from one of the neighbours, who had set them out to cool. Henrik had recently started walking, so when he got bored he started curiously wandering around the clearing. It was a warm autumn day, with leaves everywhere, and Henrik seemed to enjoy picking them up and watching them swirl down again, so much so that at one point Kol murmured some words, calling on his magic to make the leaves float for their little brother’s amusement.
When she says she wants to have a child of her own, it’s Henrik she thinks of—her little brother toddling around, squealing with delight as he chased leaves that Kol compelled to dance in the air with his magic.
