CW: rant about art and fandom
I have to take a public stance on this because is really driving me crazy every time I see it. And the fact that I'm hearing it from people I follow makes me want to block them. They don't do it often but it's getting on my nerves.
I don't like shitting on people and much less talk about them behind their backs, so I hope they see this.
You cannot shit on an artist just because you don't like their art style.

Just because an artist was HIRED to do a piece of work on the fandom you like doesn't give you the right to hate on them (and make other people agree with you) just because you don't like their style or their interpretation of the work.
It's racist you say? Point it out for what it really is then and don't say is because you don't like their art.
If an artist is being racist (whether they realized it or not) people have the right to know. Make that your point! And moreover, those are just allegations, do you have proof, show it.
"I don't like how they drew the manghua, they clearly don't know anything about making webcomics" Since when there's been a right way of making comics?
"Their interpretation of the characters is OOC, too stereotypical and racist" Dude, they based it on a Chinese book, there's gonna be bias, danmei is full of that, or haven't you realized? Not excusing the racism, but it's inevitable and people can make mistakes, they don't deserve to be harassed for it.
Choose your words better, your opinion is feeding other people's opinion, don't you want that to be as accurate as possible?
Harassing artists for their art is the lowest you can go in my opinion, and making the arguments so inflammatory to the point the artist quit, deplorable. Do better.
