Basic Pascal version 1.19 will be remembered as along version. Like a long year. Or long night. As a long winter. And, so, version is released. It is so long because of it is contains several plans. So today it is about plan with title - from the past. With this plan – dreams from the past. I am a dreamer. And that’s why I start to programming. To make realization of my dreams into program code.
So, there are two games. Two games as text quests. With retro theme.
Near the shore. This is a dream. To do a text quests. I dream to write something. Something to program. Art. Idea of magical adventures with the text. Some retro magic. I deceive this this way, my perception of this things, and have no idea what I try to say.
This day has come. In a head it starts to puzzle to solve about logic structure. What it can mean. This is simple game. And there you need to read text. This is story. And you perform not tricky actions. From suggested actions. As with old ms dos quests. List of actions. And from list of actions you select actions. And items. Action plus item.
It is magical adventure. About how you find out yourself at the island., And you dont not know why. As Myst. Such a magic. You are at the island. Where everything is good. Bright sun. Blue sea. Yellow sand. And you are walking by the island. Here, there is a magic jean. You need to speak with him! Collect items. Seashells at the island.
Light magical adventure. Surreal and sea. You are walking along the island. Storyline is linear. And there are side walks. Also including death. End of game. And there are items – you need to collect them. And to speak.
Frozen arctic station. This is also a text game. But here it is more complicated. There is here a labyrinth with view from the eyes. And everything is blue to make it a feature – frozen. You are worker at the station in arctic. Or antarctica. In the ice. In the snow.
And something has happened. At the station it is empty now. And next - monsters. And mutations. All of these are connected with experiments. Mushrooms, virus, mutations. You are try to get out of this station.
Also, you need to read text. Sometimes as test to select answers. But they are simply for variations as a rule. Storyline is linear. And there are walking with the labyrinth. There are monsters. Weapons. Items. Interactions with objects.
This is rather big game. By my measure. For this development I spent most of time. Almost about a year. Less. Lots of months. Long development. My stress test as a developer. Which I make for myself. And of course - this game – this is also idea with a dream. From a picture in a head. I write all the ideas. And later to remember. And check the list. So, wow, one more idea has a realization. It was little complicated, saying the truth! And long!

Most long running project reach its final. Freezing is completed. Well, it should to be. Unfreezing. Today it is a summer at the street! This is text quest with turn based walk along labyrinth with view from the eyes.
And you perform actions there. Open door, shoot monster, take item. As quest. In other time – it is reading text. There are lots of it here. Everything is with blue color. To feature the freezing point.
At the last moments. I correct the text. There are lots of it here. It is divided with files. Well, in environment QB64, that symbol for comma, that I write, it is works as symbol to go to a new line. Yes, there is another symbol for comma. But I do not change it. With idea not to make complex. I take decision to go to finish line. And not to enter another tasks. So symbol comma I delete. And someplace it is dot. Or nothing at all.
So a final phase, I spent lots of time for format text. So, it is a lot of text, as I see it now. And long. Such routine. It is also spent some time. And everything is going to final.
I fix some bugs. So, I take a decision to make it to final. Long time development. I already have lots of ideas what to do next. And with this development, I take a decision to finalization. To go to final.
So, some small shortcomings are possible. Well, it is possible to spent time for format text. For example. Or for some else. But, I take a decision to final. This is valuable decision. First such big project for me. For some moment it was like a sea. Where you do not see the end or borders. And now sailing is done! This is joyful event!

And dig computers to learn what has happened. You read report, emails. And dig the systems. No one is here except you. It was evacuation. And next earthquake. And you lost consciousness. So, this is start.
You can play not fast. Game is about explore and atmosphere. With labyrinth you need to enter every room and to do something. And next move to exit point. With read text – you simply read text. And press next.
Game is made upon some pictures taken from a head. Such a blue labyrinth. Made with lines. And some theme about frozen arctic station. Story. Text screens. This is valuable. From this idea - you see this game. With retro theme. 80s computers.
Game is what I want to see, as I designed this way I make it. About ideas and realization. And time to start a celebration! This was long! And unfreezing completed! Little sun already heating! Time for a joy!

At last game is completed! It was long time project! Text quest. And labyrinths.
Read text – it is like story. Sometimes as a test. You can select something. And labyrinth – it is walk like retro role playing game. With view from the eyes. Lots of actions with items. You need to enter the rooms. Shoot monsters. This part takes most of time in walkthrough.
As a point. Here it is 20 min of gameplay. And this is already almost final. But I someplace forget the flamer. And cannot go next without it. Different monsters can be killed with certain weapon!

And everything is in the snow. Hero is going away into snow day. Everything is white. And everywhere it is snow. Cold. It is Arctic.

So story is finished already. Next, you will go along the frozen station already. Everywhere it is snow. It is wind blowing. Sometimes earthquake. And everything is destroyed. There is no roof. And blizzard. At the something that is left after the station.
You call by radio for help. You send SOS signal. And you enter through the hole in a wall, during a snow desert. It is strong wind. And lots of snow. You wait helicopter!
And again return to programming phase. This time, I need, simply, to sort all the story with the files for reading. And code all labyrinths. And to write it to program code. What to take, and what to read. In right order.
You are in a snow. You are crawling along the totally destroyed part of the station. It is snow there. Wind. Blizzard. And you are walking. Along the corridors. Walls are destroyed. Last thing you need to do – it is to get out. And to wait for red helicopter. Which will land from the sky. Through the white storm. Snow and blizzard – they are very strong.
And what was before? And before it was a frozen part of the station. But less strong. It is still growing there mold and mushrooms. Along the walls. But already a hard way. Because of cold is block their grow. It makes them be slow.
And this is already final stage of development. For this super huge for me project. I solve task about programming. They tasks that was. They were not prepared before. And as it was during the process. It was hard. It requires math mind. Next it is write story. Tow rite small story – it is possible.
And as far as you go - it is going down all the potential. I write 190 game scenes, approximately. And in the end, I just give a story. Without sides to go. I make a decision. Just final make. This is big development for me. For the last time.
I need to make conclusions. About how it better to do. And anyway to prepare to make final steps for this little game. And start to prepare new pack Basic Pascal.
Game was as idea from the head. After big impressions from retro computers. So something like if you see Wizardry 1 and labyrinth with first person view. Or Ultima 1. Schematical labyrinth. And it is also with some interesting story. All of these made a big impression for me. And I make a decision to make one day my own labyrinth. And my own story.
So this is a valuable program code for me. I am closer to something like this. To touch with a form of program code, the things I desire. This is so valuable. This is great.

Main part with programming is done. Everything done. Labyrinth works. It functions well. Everything is with code. And all buttons are possible to use.
Menu done. About programming it is left for errors. And small moments to fix. As for example, menu frame border is very short for some phrases. Or there is no main menu yet. And everything else -–works. Text part goes to labyrinth. And from labyrinth it goes back to text part. Everything works.
And now it is things about content. This is about. Story itself. With a form of text. And to code labyrinths. And what is where to place. Where monster. Where item. Where interaction.
To complete labyrinth you need to point with exit. And there it will check for actions. You need to take all items in labyrinth, which are coded there. Use items, if there is code to use them. And interact with objects, which are in code for level. Take weapon it is not necessary condition to go next. But when it will be a monster, some place forward. Player simply cannot go through monster. Monster is like obstacle. And you need weapon to go forward. So you need also take weapons in labyrinth.
You need to enter the rooms. And read description. So at first it goes room description. For interest. And next, if there are items or objects, so it is written. In the end. Take item. Use item. Interact with object. Take weapon. All of these is with description for the room. For example. Under the paper it is a diskette. I think. It is useful item. So it is good idea to try take item button.

You worked at the arctic station. At the Antarctica. Science station. And it has happened something. No one is here. You walk the labyrinth with office rooms. And hero has amnesia. Memory lost. But it is returning to him. You are worker at this station. You write scripts. But you are not scientist. Scientists are doing something here. You do not know what they are doing.
And so you awaken. And nothing is here. You are walking the labyrinth. And you try to remember. Scientists did some experiments. They did not calculate something. They worked with some virus. It was taken from ice. Or mold. Something about biological material, something about this. No idea. And next it happened crash. Evacuation. Everyone is going to exit.
A week before, there were news that it is something wrong with scientists. Crash at the storehouse. Technical problems. But you did not take this into account.
You did not reach evacuation point. And you find out yourself in medicine block. And some medical things they gave you. And next everything is with a fog. And you walk to some place. And was hit by electric shock. Earthquake it was here. And part of station is damaged.
