I’ve been using female Jules as my main just because I am female. And because I love Esteban. But…. I love male Jules so much more than female Jules. I don’t know why.
Male Jules just hits harder. I feel it so much more. Is his sprite more expressive? Is it because he’s on the Sympathy path? Is it because I can see so much of my husband in him? Or maybe he’s just hot and I like to look at him.
It’s so sad! 😭😭 She ruined cookies for him! Seriously, wtf kind of mother tries to kill herself on Mother’s Day at home knowing that her 11 year old son will be the one who finds her? I know depression and suicidal thoughts are very serious, I know it makes people think irrationally. I generally try to have sympathy for people who struggle with this. But as a mother, and considering her wonderful track record of caring for Jules, this is so horrible! Like the most traumatizing thing you could do to your kid!
Grace
I really love the slow burn with Grace. It’s so subtle and sweet. He encourages her, she confides in him, they bump into each other, she wishes she could’ve hung out with him more, he has the urge to stroke her cheek. It’s honestly perfect. 🥰
Their interactions kind of remind me of the Before Trilogy (Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight). It feels natural, unrushed, restrained and cautious, but spontaneous in the sense that it doesn’t feel scripted. That’s something about certain LIs that I dislike. Sometimes it feels forced, either intentionally by the writer, or unintentionally simply because it’s predictable and expected.
I only wish Grace (and Esteban) could be a full LI for the CGs. I want to actually see them together in at least one image.
Nahome
I’m loving the bromance growing between Jules and Nahome. It’s so wholesome. It’s nice to see male friendships depicted in a supportive way. Not just getting drunk, slapping each others butts, and playing video games. These guys are sophisticated! They’re a doctor and an MBA. They drink coffee from Ethiopia! ☕️
Flint
One thing I am confused about. Flint. I’ve been taking a number of scenes with them. The smiley face ones, not the heart ones. Mostly because it’s fun to mess with them. That is, until the Mirabelle scene. She started going on about how Flint is such a sweetheart and don’t you hurt them. Well, now my male Jules is confused. He thinks Flint hates him. Also I locked them in a closet. They were really pissing me off and I thought, “Do I want to be in a closet with them right now?” The answer was no. So I left them there.
I did, however, save their job. But I don’t understand how Flint got this idea. They seemed to get mixed up on my female slot too. Idk. Is Flint only romance-able? Is there no friendship path?
Tobias
For that reason, I chose to keep my relationship with Tobias strictly professional. It’s actually a little overwhelming to have all these people coming at me when I have no intention of romancing them.
Starlyn
Despite what I just said, I made out with Starlyn. 😅 I was curious so I went with it. I can’t really see that going well, but it could be fun. 🤷🏻♀️ It could turn into a Notting Hill situation. Or she’ll turn into Taylor Swift and write a scathing break up song about Jules. I might actually prefer that outcome instead. It might be worth it. 😂

Not gonna lie, I would love to romance her (I know she is a LI), but I also think that my Isaiah isn't a great partner for her. First, he is taken by Flint, second, I just don't see them as a couple. Sometimes I don't romance characters I like, when I don't think my MC has a right chemistry with them or when I don't think this LI needs to begin a relationship in this exact time and with this exact person (my MC). I wish I could matchmake Grace with someone decent and who will appreciate her as she deserves!
