Confession:
"I think the technical and art team of 7 brothers hates Tristan with all their might, I don't understand how this is possible, but with each update he becomes uglier, if I had to choose between sleeping with Tristan or a real horse, the horse would win everything. 🐴🐎"

7b is so frustrating to me because of how staunchly langley refuses to commit to the themes she brought up. the underage girl who nearly got sa'd getting an explosive reaction from the rosewood boys (james tracking him down and punching him, logan being horrified) being a tool to prop them up and show just how good they are, as compared to other men in the same demographic. meanwhile, the locker room talk they engage in, how they view women, james' entire existence and all he stands for are brushed off as... what? nothing?
giving up the integrity of your story and catering to lipless, white men fans is nothing new to be disappointed over but ignoring how locker room talk and microaggressions and stereotypes aren't harmless, but rather prop up rape culture and eventually land up there is almost a betrayal to the young girls whose stories she tried to voice through the character of jaynie
babying men old enough to know better (logan being upset about what happened and having an option to have jaynie comfort him? hello? you're 18 this isn't your intro to feminism), making jaynie bootlick them, giving them a poor baby backstory (jasper posting nonconsensual videos of girls online bc he wanted to be useful? are you fucking kidding me), putting their problems over the lives of women being ruined, the senseless demonization of the female characters, gender essentialism, and worst of all: acknowledging that same sex institutions are built on classism and racism and sustained on rape culture and still having jaynie defend it all to service rabid, mindless fans of anything male and white... fucking disgraceful
Chloe: You gave me lots of strengths, Jaynie 💓
Cute scene from the last update.
Thanks a lot @pilitella for this adorable moment 🫶🏻

Just saw someone posting screenshots of tristan's conversation with his mom where she tells him how she felt suffocated and how his father was always angry at her and stuff and then he responds with "I should've been enough for you to stay", good god, I've never liked 7b but those ss made my blood BOIL, tristan has always been a fucking weirdo but the way his behaviour is always justified is just so....icky to me. Rather than understanding her point of view he just dismisses her and acts like his existence should've been enough for her to tolerate abuse 💀.
She's telling you that she was depressed and married to a 30 year old man when she was 19, that should've been enough to raise literally every alarm bell but nope....zero empathy. He deserved all the shitty haircuts that he got.
(Kind of weird that even when I was 13, I understood why my mom did what she did, but we simply do not expect a grown ass man to have the same level of maturity)
The fandom always calls out russian authors for being misogynistic, racist, homophobic, RIGHTFULLY SO, but I feel like we are just TOO lenient on non-russian authors. The way Langley has handled sensitive issues in this book is absolutely deplorable. Anyways, the only good thing about it was the 100 diamonds in the end.
That's why I always say, I would rather see no representation than a shitty one.
