LAST MOVIE: Project Hail Mary... again 😅 3rd time? Though it was still in May, I have only watched shows through June I think
LAST SERIES: Critical Role if it counts lol. I spend my trips to and from work watching c2 slowly. Dr Stone if it doesn't
LAST VIDEO GAME: I'm watching bf play Gothic Remake! Can't say I'm too invested but it's not bad. As for myself the last thing I launched was Strange Antiquities - also I'll use this post to tell you Cat that I loved Strange Horticulture! The vibes are awesome and I liked how the plot went. Antiquities imo lost some charm when they went more 3d.
LAST THING I ATE: dinner with my fam! The very last one was my first melon of the year 🤤
Tagging @sirshio and any of the mutuals who want to answer!
LAST SONG: I doubt anyone here knows niche Russian rock bands, so I'll name "Wasuregataki" by Huwie Ishizaki. But if someone is curious, the real last song was "Граф" ([Graf], means "count") by NAGART.
LAST MOVIE: DreamWorks' "Megamind", I guess. Love this movie very much, one of my favorite.
LAST SERIES: Some mystical series for trad wives, my guilty pleasure :D and something normal - a Soviet series about Sherlock Holmes by Maslennikov.
LAST VIDEO GAME: Blue Prince! A perfect game for me who loves puzzles and hates any action in videogames. Thank Tako who recommended this game to me.
LAST THING I ATE: A plate of strawberries. Not a huge fan, but this is summer, I must eat as much fruit and berries as I can. Soon I will have fries with mushrooms 😋
(Bonus question from me) LAST BOOK I READ: "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy. He isn't one of my favorite writers (to be honest, I dislike him as a person and as a writer), but this novel is really good, I'm actually invested. Alexei Karenin is the best man, and Kitty is bi and has a crush on Anna.
Tagging @shmuel-ben-sarah-kcd2 (if you want it, my dear comrade, absolutely no pressure). My other mutuals can do it, too :)
- despite I love Luna, her route seems to be one of "main" ones. She has more author's attention than other LIs (Tiffany, for example, who also is my route)
- Luna's intimate scene was pretty hot (though short, I hoped for a long one). But hot. I also appreciated how Luna told MC she is in a very vulnerable state and asked if she really wants it. Good detail!
- I like MC's little jealousy scene when she sees how Luna flirts with another girl 🤭
- and this flashback with MC's teenage poem about Luna was really good!
- I'm getting a little bit tired of how Tiffany and MC communicate (on her route). Don't get me wrong, I like this toxic flirt, but I want to have something else. In addition to this
- Declan and Fabian are funny when male routes are disabled 🤭 Fabian is a good friend, and Declan is a pathetic useless boy who can't even express his friendly feelings for MC (I like him)
- and plot becomes more and more interesting! I don't believe this is Declan who leaves all these notes, despite his actions are fishy. No, there's something else. And I want to know!
- I was a little bit disappointed that we couldn't matchmake Declan and Fabian :< maybe in next update...
So, I'm surprised how I got hooked with this story, but I did and I'm waiting for new episodes.
I remember I was planning to post some more scenes with Flint from the previous update. I will, just a little bit later ^^"
- no diamond romantic choices with Flint 💔💔💔 I waited for them so long... and everything I got was a small friendly scene with them and Mirabel and one tiny romantic option to compliment their voice :( But I still appreciate how Yim writes their route, for example, MC actually thinks about them without player's choices, just like here (my silly loverboy):
And in the same scene MC admires their grace and recalls how they kissed. Moreover, we actually can talk to Flint, I love to talk to them. So, to sum up, even despite I'm sad I couldn't kiss my beloved again, I'm not disappointed at all.
- as a therapist's child, I appreciate sessions with MC's therapist very much, it's so refreshing to read about mental issues, dealing with them and therapists' work from an author who really knows what they are writing!
- my Isaiah is my favorite MC from all RC stories ♡♡♡ I love my boy very much 🥺
- it was a pleasure to see Mirabel, she's so sweet! Look at her! I hope we will have more scenes with her, I want to befriend her!
Can't understand why so many people think that LIs in CB are "not attractive". Have you seen Flint, you dumbasses?! For me, even "support cast" (like Mirabel, Mona, dr. Cool etc.) are very attractive!
- appreciated time with Kevin, he acts like a real kid, what is not so often in media
- movie night with Gail was funny 🤭
- liked that we could help Keiran :) she is a nice person
- I love so much that character in RC act like, well, people. With their own weaknesses, issues and so on, no one is perfect, just like in real life. It's amazingly refreshing, I appreciate it so very much.
- that flashback about Annette and her suicide attempt hit hard 💔 my poor Isaiah, I want to hig him and wrap into a warm blanket :<
So, this story is still my very favorite, I already can't wait to read more episodes (PLEASE LET ME BE ROMANTIC WITH FLINT AAAAARGHHH)!

Will never get the casual appropriation of jewish folklore (in particular the tanakh) and then the erasure of jews from their own stories. No, biblical stories don't take place in some vague mythical societies in some vague mythical land. I'm tired of this stupid trope.
See also: The Corpse Bride, a very Jewish story about a bride being slaughtered by Russian cossacks, which was then taken by the movie directors and stripped of anything remotely Jewish and then set in Victorian England. This was supposedly to make it "more universal" (less ethnic) (less Jewish) as if everybody lives in England and is a Christian.
I'm a little unsure if I can speak on this theme (because I'm not Jewish), but I have very controversial thoughts on this movie and the original story.
Not gonna lie, I enjoy this movie (Victoria is the best girl, as well as Emily), and I learned about Jewish origins of the plot only recently.
But despite the fact I like this movie, I don't think creators did a right thing when they torn off everything that is Jewish and made the story English and Christian. No, in fact, I believe they did a fucking wrong thing.
If you're adapting a story that has important cultural and/or historical background, never tear this background off and show it as respectfully as you can. If you don't want it (or aren't ready for some reasons), go find more universal story (or at least more "generic white European"), if you be so kind.
There aren't cultures and historical events that don't deserve respect and representation. There are simply aren't. You can't just strip all unique cultures parts from a story, make an adaptation and then say you were merely "inspired". No, you wasn't. You was disrespecting a foreign cultures.

Problematic because: "Valdemar is Lucio’s Quaestor and head physician during the Red Plague. They’re hired to help cure the plague, especially Lucio, but they deliberately drag the process out because they’re more interested in experimenting than helping people. They dissect bodies (and vivisect people alive - like, they're obsessed with vivisection), use the plague as an opportunity for 'medical research', and are tied to the secret dungeon/lab under the palace. They also make deals with the Devil, weaken Death through that connection, and are one of the most openly cruel courtiers. They’re not conflicted about it either."
Propaganda: "They’re one of the few Arcana characters who doesn’t really bother pretending to be nicer than they are. They’re calm, clinical, creepy, and very direct about their interests, which makes them stand out from the other courtiers in a different way. I like them because they bring a more medical-horror flavour to the story. Lucio is selfish and theatrical, Vulgora is loud violence, Volta is sad hunger, Vlastomil is gross and corrupt, but Valdemar is controlled. They feel dangerous because they’re curious, not because they’re angry, which makes them very effective as a villain."
vs. Keith (Date Everything!)
Problematic because: "He starts off as this sweet older skeleton key you find in the crawlspace, and the game very much wants you to go “aw, poor guy, why was he left down there?” He helps you open the attic, talks about not remembering what happened to him, and if you follow his route he gets you to help hack into an old online journal/account to “solve” his past. The route also keeps warning you not to question his innocence too much if you want the Love ending, which is already a little suspicious in hindsight. Then you Realize him - basically turn him into a human - and the nice old man act drops. He reveals he’s been using you, takes your money, and bails. So he builds trust, plays vulnerable, gets the player to help him access money, hurts Dorian in the process too, and then leaves everyone standing there like. Oh. Okay. Grandpa was evil actually."
Propaganda: 1. "Keith is a really fun kind of awful because the betrayal actually works on the player. You meet him, he seems gentle and sad, he has history with Dorian, and the whole game has trained you to expect weird little object-people with emotional baggage. So when it turns out he’s been playing you, it’s mean, but it’s also kind of brilliant. I like that he’s one of the few routes where the game goes, no, sometimes the suspiciously charming person really was suspicious. He’s horrible for it, but I can’t pretend it wasn’t memorable."
2. "keith is so evil for making me care about him first. like sir you are a key. why are you emotionally scamming me. he acts all sweet and wounded and “oh no i was abandoned in the crawlspace” and then the second he gets a human body he’s off with your money. and poor dorian has to deal with the emotional fallout too!! awful man. but also unfortunately very funny"
3. "getting catfished by a skeleton key is insane and he deserves recognition for that alone. he’s lying in the crawlspace like a sad little object granddad, gets you to trust him, gets you to help with his whole mystery, and then immediately pulls the dating sim equivalent of stealing your wallet and fleeing the country"
Who should advance?
Valdemar
Keith

hi! I'm @gifographicmemory, one of the coordinators of Sam Week :D @ptacku and I, as well as several other Big Sam Fans, organized this event.
first things first, @ptacku is a Jewish mod and is happy to answer any questions re: Sam and Judaism submitted to this blog. in his words, "I love yapping so fucking much please god let me yap"
I myself am not Jewish. I knew basically nothing about Judaism when I first started getting interested in Sam. the only way I learned anything was by asking questions in the #samuel of kuttenburg tag and receiving very generous, enthusiastic answers from folks who wanted to share what they knew.
all this to say, if you're too intimidated to participate in Sam Week because you don't know anything about Judaism and/or you're scared to offend, please rest assured:
doing the research, being genuinely curious, asking good faith questions, and taking feedback/corrections with grace (even if it's imperfect or embarrassing or you end up missing the mark) will always be more appreciated than ignoring Sam or his faith entirely.
TL;DR: below the cut are some (non-exhaustive) resources on Judaism for creators who want to participate in Sam Week but don't know where to start!
GENERAL:
KCD2 Codex Entry - Jews
My Jewish Learning - general resource for all things regarding Judaism, including food, traditions, holidays, prayer, and more

Airports are always telling you if you see something say something. Have you ever reported something you saw at an airport, or have you heard a story from someone where that actually happened?
Yes

Is it wrong to flirt with a widow/widower at the cemetery (assuming it has been an appropriate amount of time since their spouse died and they are just visiting their grave)?
