Though I do think theres a place to talk about how in fiction/fanfiction, a lot of writers handle trans men weirdly involving pregnancy, I honestly refuse to engage with some people arguing against writing trans male pregnancy (as a trans dude HIMSELF who would rather die than have a baby) because the way they talk about it is so gross.
Some people talk about trans men being pregnant in fiction is the most disgusting thing alive or that ANY form of writing around it is immediately steorotypical/fetishizing trans men. From an angle I could get this because of how trans men can find pregnancy incredibly dysphoric (though I dont think calling any form of pregnancy disgusting is that good), but I think I just gave up seeing them going after TRANS MEN who are writers/fanfic authors and accusing them of fetishizing themselves, begging for cis attention, or ignoring that that dude is trans for the sake of their argument.
I agree that I wish trans men in fanfic and media were more diverse and that there were more ideas around us than things such as pregnancy, there are REAL trans men out there who CHOSE to be pregnant. Seeing this in fiction isnt automatically fetishization. Its also not very productive to call a couple with a pregnant trans dude "basically straight" no matter how much you hate a certain headcanon or writing choice. And no, I'm not telling you to go out and force yourself to read every single thing ever involving a pregnant trans man.
I literally say this as someone outspoken about how trans men in media/fanfic are categorized sometimes.
Tldr; Trans men being pregnant in fiction isn't automatically the worst thing ever.
