he  scoffs  under  his  breath,  shoving  his  hands  deeper  into  his  pockets  as  his  posture  stiffens.  there’s  an  itch  crawling  beneath  his  skin,  a  sensation  he  can’t  name  but  knows  he  hates.  it’s  stupid—he  knows  it’s  stupid—but  the  sight  of  kaito  laughing  with  someone  else  feels  like  a  betrayal  he  didn’t  see  coming.  not  that  kaito  owes  him  anything,  satoru  reasons  with  himself,  but  that  doesn’t  stop  the  sharp  pang  in  his  chest.

he  turns  away  for  a  moment,  trying  to  distract  himself,  but  his  gaze  snaps  back  almost  immediately.  he  can’t  help  it.  kaito  has  always  had  this  way  of  drawing  attention,  of  making  satoru  feel  like  he’s  the  only  one  who  matters  when  they're  together.  and  now?  now  it  feels  like  satoru  is  just  an  afterthought.  "tch,"  he  mutters,  running  a  hand  through  his  stark  white  hair,  ruffling  it  in  frustration.  his  fingers  tighten  around  his  sunglasses,  adjusting  them  on  his  nose  as  if  that’ll  somehow  shield  him  from  the  irritating  sight.

“you’ve  been  busy,”  he  murmurs,  his  voice  low  and  smooth,  carrying  just  enough  edge  to  unsettle  without  crossing  the  line.  before  kaito  can  respond,  satoru  closes  the  remaining  distance  between  them,  leaning  in  far  too  close.  their  shoulders  nearly  touch,  and  his  height  advantage  forces  kaito  to  tilt  his  head  slightly  to  maintain  eye  contact.  satoru’s  sunglasses  slip  down  the  bridge  of  his  nose  just  enough  to  reveal  the  sharpness  in  his  gaze,  a  reminder  of  the  power  and  confidence  behind  that  smirk.  satoru  doesn’t  look  at  anyone  else.  he  doesn’t  have  to.  the  message  is  clear  enough  to  anyone  watching:  kaito  is  in  his  orbit,  and  that’s  not  about  to  change.

“funny  how  people  just  flock  to  you,  huh,  kaito?”  his  tone  is  casual,  almost  teasing,  but  the  way  his  fingers  brush  kaito’s  wrist—light,  intentional,  claiming—belies  his  true  intent.  he  lingers  there  for  just  a  moment  longer  than  necessary,  a  fleeting  connection  that  feels  electric,  as  if  daring  kaito  to  pull  away.

he  tilts  his  head,  letting  a  soft  laugh  escape  as  he  leans  in  further,  his  breath  warm  against  kaito’s  ear  now.  “but  don’t  go  forgetting  who’s  the  most  interesting  one  here.”  his  voice  drops  into  something  softer,  quieter,  meant  only  for  kaito.  it’s  a  challenge  and  a  reminder,  wrapped  in  that  unmistakable  arrogance  that  only  satoru  can  pull  off.

then,  he  straightens  up,  taking  his  time  as  he  steps  back  just  enough  to  give  kaito  a  sliver  of  breathing  room.  his  grin  widens,  playful  yet  predatory,  before  he  finally  shifts  his  gaze,  lazily  glancing  at  the  others  in  the  room  as  if  to  say,  try  me.  but  his  attention  flicks  back  to  kaito  almost  instantly,  unwilling  to  let  the  moment  slip  too  far  out  of  his  control.  “besides,”  satoru  adds,  his  voice  loud  enough  now  for  everyone  to  hear,  “who  else  can  keep  up  with  you  like  i  can?”  satoru  doesn't  even  give  kaito  a  chance  to  react.  one  moment,  he’s  standing  close,  his  presence  already  overwhelming,  and  the  next,  he  steps  forward,  closing  the  gap  between  them  like  it’s  the  most  natural  thing  in  the  world.  the  room  seems  to  freeze,  all  conversations  halting  as  satoru  grips  kaito’s  chin  with  just  enough  pressure  to  tilt  his  face  upward,  forcing  their  eyes  to  meet.

satoru  leans  in,  capturing  his  lips  in  a  kiss  that  is  anything  but  subtle.  it’s  firm,  deliberate,  and  charged  with  the  kind  of  intensity  only  satoru  can  wield.  his  fingers  slide  to  the  back  of  kaito’s  neck,  holding  him  in  place—not  harsh,  but  possessive,  like  he’s  reminding  kaito  exactly  who  he  belongs  to.

there’s  no  hesitation,  no  apology.  satoru  kisses  him  like  he’s  making  a  statement,  one  he  wants  everyone  in  the  room  to  hear  without  him  saying  a  word.  his  other  hand  finds  kaito’s  hip,  pulling  him  just  a  fraction  closer,  his  grip  firm  enough  to  leave  an  impression.  his  tongue  pushes  past  kaito’s  lips,  bold  and  demanding,  exploring  every  inch  of  his  mouth  with  a  fervor  that  leaves  no  room  for  hesitation.  satoru  kisses  like  he  does  everything  else—completely,  utterly  overwhelming,  with  an  intensity  that  burns  like  wildfire.  his  other  hand  slides  into  kaito’s  hair,  tangling  in  the  strands  as  he  holds  him  firmly  in  place,  as  if  daring  him  to  even  think  about  pulling  away. 

the  kiss  is  messy,  wet,  and  unapologetically  dominant,  the  sound  of  it  obscene  in  the  otherwise  quiet  room.  satoru  tilts  his  head,  deepening  the  kiss  further,  his  tongue  curling  against  kaito’s  in  a  way  that’s  both  commanding  and  teasing,  drawing  out  soft,  breathless  noises  from  him  that  make  satoru’s  grip  tighten  even  more.  kaito’s  body  is  pressed  flush  against  his,  pinned  between  satoru’s  overwhelming  presence  and  the  space  he’s  carved  out  for  them.  the  heat  between  them  is  electric,  a  pulse  that  seems  to  echo  in  the  air  around  them,  suffocating  and  consuming  all  at  once.

it’s  not  tender.  it’s  not  soft.  it’s  dominance,  plain  and  simple,  a  claim  staked  in  front  of  everyone  daring  to  watch.  when  satoru  finally  pulls  back,  it’s  only  because  he  decides  to,  his  lips  parting  from  kaito’s  with  a  sharp,  deliberate  slowness  that  leaves  a  thin  string  of  saliva  connecting  them.  he  doesn’t  move  far,  his  forehead  resting  against  kaito’s,  his  breath  warm  and  ragged  as  he  grins,  smug  and  satisfied.

“you  taste  better  than  i  remembered,”  satoru  mutters,  his  voice  low  enough  that  only  kaito  can  hear.  his  thumb  brushes  against  the  corner  of  kaito’s  mouth,  wiping  away  the  lingering  wetness  in  a  move  that’s  both  possessive  and  almost  tender.  then,  as  if  he  hadn’t  just  set  the  room  on  fire  with  his  display,  satoru  turns  his  head  slightly,  his  gaze  flicking  to  the  other  person  with  a  smirk  so  sharp  it  might  as  well  be  a  blade.

“sorry,”  he  says,  though  his  tone  carries  no  apology  whatsoever.  “i  figured  he  needed  a  reminder  of  who  belong.”
