Woke up this morning with a massive headache, extreme nausea and light sensitivity.. and it didn't went away all day. So I spent my one day off in bed in a dark room, only left my bed to go have dinner at my moms house. I'm exhausted and I just want to sleep 😴, but the pressure in my head and behind my eyes is almost making it impossible. Even my screen as dark as possible is still to bright. I'm crying in pain right now, wishing I'll fall asleep very soon. I just want this day to be over. I really hoped my neurosurgeon would have mailed me by now, but haven't heard from him yet. I just want to know what his plan is going to be. I am debating with myself wether I should go to the ER for a lumbar puncture to relief the pain for a few hours, or maybe even days if I'm lucky. I have day shift at clinicals tomorrow again and I honestly don't know how I will get though the day. Please head just let me sleep tonight. Can't think straight anymore because of the pain and the pressure been to high. This is just so true. Even though I'm really happy with how the appointment with my new neurosurgeon went yesterday, today I'm having a very bad day. My head is pounding, having vision and strength loss, throwing up all day and pulsating tinnitus. If I wasn't on blood thinners I might have considered going to the ER and beg for a lumbar puncture (to get one of those bad boys in my spine/back just to get some relief from this headache that's trying to kill me). Appointment with the neurosurgeon didn't go as hoped. He wants to consult a colleague, contact the neurosurgeon in the other hospital and get my medical records before he is thinking about maybe doing something. He doesn't thing another shunt is a solution, but honestly I'm willing to try even if that means another surgery. I can't handle this pain any longer. Been crying so much lately because of the pain, exhaustion and frustration. Please, just do the surgery... I'm going to beg my doctor to do another lumbar puncture asap, to lower the pressure and get rid of the headaches, nausea and pulsating tinnitus.. I have an appointment with my other neurosurgeon tomorrow. Really hope he wants to do something about this excruciating headaches, pulsatile tinnitus and blurry vision.
