Tuli toinen kysymys mieleen.
ĂrsyttÀÀkö "enÀÀn"?
ĂrsyttÀÀ
Neutraali
Ei ÀrsytÀ
En ole kuullut kyseistÀ sanaa
Muu, mikÀ?
(Olisi mukavaa, jos saisi jotain dataa siitÀ, missÀ tÀtÀ kÀytetÀÀn. Kuulemma lÀnsimurteista se on ilmestynyt, mutta miksi se on nykyÀÀn niin laajalle levittÀytynyt?)
Puhekieli quiz
I thought I'd do another little quiz for Finnish words used (generally) in the spoken language, since I've collected a few new ones.
See if you know (or can guess) the meanings of the following words (obviously not intended for native speakers of Finnish)....
1. puskaradio
2. kantsia (this is a verb)
3. filunki
4. hannari
5. kÀmÀnen
6. kohtapuoleen
7. ottaa pÀÀhÀn (verb)
8. revanssi
9. niksi
10. lunki
11. bilsa
12. heppa
13. soppa
14. laihis
15. likka
Sorry if any of these are repeats from earlier on, but I tried to give new ones only. I'll be interested to see if anyone has heard these in every day life (a few I think are pretty common!)
I'll post answers/how to use these later on!

Nyt on aikaa sukeltaa syvemmin puhekielen verbeihin, sillÀ verbit ovat yksi kielen tÀrkeimmistÀ ja haastavimmista osa-alueista.
(In Finnish) the 30 most common verbs in spoken Finnish (puhekieli)
Suomen Mestari 3. - Unit 5. Puhekieli
I encountered these more or less before, but always useful to see what different sources say.
olla, mennĂ€, tulla, panna - assume these are the most âshortenedâ verbs (to be, go, come, put)
the personal pronouns are always used (unlike in kirjakieli), in short form: minÀ and sinÀ become mÀ and sÀ, and hÀn and he become se and ne.
different vowels are kinda âblurredâ together: olen - oon, tulen - tuun, and the consonants inbetween are dropped
both the third person singular and plural uses the same form (se menee - ne menee)
the first person plural uses the passive form (me mennÀÀn)
Shortly: the -ko/-kö ending becomes -ks in puhekieli
odotanko - odotanks
oletko - ooks (similarly shortened as above)
Hei! I had an idea of letting my character Unto to show everyday life situations in finnish, but in the way I, as an a native speaker say things. (Meaning spoken language and lilâ bit of words from the dialect I speak. First one is an easiest way to order that I could think of, because you wonât need to conjugate any words.Â
