Plant of the Day

Looking great as part of this woodland garden edge Vinca difformis (intermediate periwinkle) flowers best in full sun but can be useful for shady areas. This vigorous, prostrate evergreen sub-shrub can become invasive as it can root from the stem, but it also makes effective ground-cover. The starry, pale whitish-blue flowers appear in late winter and early spring.
