More art of Ratigan and a reason why I shouldn't be a side character- š©š©š©
What the 07-Ghost characters are very opinionated about
Teito is very opinionated on the subject of friendship. He has a lot of very firm ideas about what friendship means. Because it was something he had been denied for so long, something he didnāt think he could really dream of having, when he did finally form his first real friendship with Mikage, that settled a lot of his notions and ideas around what a friendship should really be. In Teitoās mind, friends support each other, no matter what. Friends truly love and care for each other, and while they have fun together and enjoy each otherās company, itās important that theyāre loyal to each other and that theyād do anything for each other. Itās how he acts as a friend. Heās the type of friend who drop anything to be there at his friendās side when theyāre having a rough time, no questions asked, who would give every single thing he owned if it would help his friend, even up to his own life. However, he kind of expects, without even realizing that he does, that his friends would feel the same way about friendship and that they would have the same view of what a friendship should be like. He gives intense loyalty, but he also expects it in return, even when he protests and says he doesnāt.
Frau is opinionated about a lot, unsurprisingly. Heās the type of man who forms opinions pretty quickly and heās pretty resolute in his opinions once heās made up his mind. Heās not completely incapable of changing his opinions as he learns new things, but itās more a rarity. I think itās going to be a surprise, but I donāt think porn is going to be something heās opinionated about. While he has his own set tastes, when it comes to porn, heās understanding that other people have tastes different to his own. Heās not one to yuck anyone elseās yum. Which leads me to the point of what I do think heās most opinionated about, which is respect. I think Frau not only commands some level of respect from those around him. He expects them to treat him fairly, if not well, but he also tries to live with respect for most people around him. Heāll only stop respecting people once they give him valid reasons not to. He gets really upset at people who treat others as below them or who plain out disrespect others, thinking that theyāre better than everyone else.
Labrador is pretty chill and laid-back. Thereās not much that he is strongly opinionated about and even on the topics he is opinionated about, heās not one to lecture about them. Heās not going to confront people if their opinions conflict with his unless heās given no other choice and he rarely gets fired up about things. However, I do see him as being someone who not only loves the earth but feels very connected with it. He doesnāt like seeing the earth abused, be it from little things like littering (one of his biggest small pet peeves ā itās not that hard to keep your trash with you until you reach a garbage can is his thoughts on it) to big things like, in modern-day AUās, big companies polluting the air and water, private plane use by celebrities, single-use plastics, etc. Heād do everything in his power to educate those who seem interested and to do his part in making the world a cleaner, more eco-friendly place, but heās also not going to be on the front lines protesting and wouldnāt be starting big fights about it.
Castor has a kind of toxic thing heās rather opinionated about. Heās tried to work on it, because he does realize that in some ways, itās a harmful belief, but itās one that was drilled into him from the time he was a child. In Castorās mind, family means a lot and he believes that family should be important to everyone. He believes that, unless thereās actual physical abuse, even if your family hits all your buttons, even if they make you angry or sad or stressed at times, theyāre still your family and the place you should always be able to go home to. While he has some complicated feelings towards his father, thatās still his family so he still holds a lot of love for his father and wants some form of approval from his father for the way he lives his life. It makes things harder on him, because he wants to hate his father, but at the same time, those bonds of family are something he canāt entirely shake and he doesnāt see why other people are so able to throw off those bonds or if itās even good that they can.
Lance is, of course, surprising no one, very opinionated about fortune-telling and āmysticalā things along those lines. Heās a true believer in all of it and wants so badly to believe that thereās some degree of magic in the world. On top of all that, Lance does believe that everyoneās life is kind of prewritten, that everyoneās life is planned out before theyāre born, and itās because of that belief that heās such a big believer in things like tarot readings and horoscopes ā itās simply telling people things that were already going to happen anyway, giving them some sort of advanced warning.
Ayanami has some very, very strong opinions around justice. He believes in complete and utter justice and sees himself as the executioner of that justice. However, he doesnāt realize that justice varies from person to person and that it means wildly different things to different people. He doesnāt realize that his own personal biases colour his version of justice and just assumes that what he sees as justice is the only justice that exists and because of this, heās completely okay with enforcing that justice on all that exists around him.
Hyuuga takes a lot of pride in his skills as a swordsman. Heās put in a lot of work, trained hard, and pushed himself to his very limits to get to the point he is at. Because of this, should it be any surprise that swords and swordsmanship is something that is incredibly important to him. Seeing any person who calls themselves a swordsman treating their sword roughly or wielding their sword as if they have no pride in it sets him off and those people often find themselves cut down if their disrespect towards their sword is rather severe or at least cut up a bit if theyāre just being dumb but still have room and potential to learn and grow.
Konatsu hates disloyalty. He can forgive a lot of faults in a person, as evidenced by how much shit he puts up with when it comes to Hyuuga. However, seeing disloyalty from anyone will automatically make him hate that person ā like, absolute loathing and disgust towards them.
Kuroyuri fully believes that, if youāre tall, the world is super easy to live in and navigate. They really do hate their short stature at times and wish they would just hurry up and get tall.
Mikage gets really worked up about movies and television shows. He comes with strong opinions on everything he watches and he isnāt afraid to share them. Heās pretty forgiving with his opinions, for the most part, and heās never going to form a complete opinion on something until he finishes watching it. He always believes that, even if heās disliking something while watching it, it has the potential to get better and improve. Once finished though, he forms his opinions and sticks to them, despite people giving their arguments as to why something sucked or was good, whatever is the opposite of his opinion.
Hakuren hates women. Itās something heās working on and comes from genuine childhood trauma but the boy strongly dislikes women and having to be around them in close quarters for too long. I donāt think this is an opinion of his that canāt be changed at all ā he will learn to tolerate or even like certain women but he has a pretty strong opinion, for the most part, that females are icky.
Ouka has very strong opinions on freedom. She thinks it should be a natural right for any human being. In her opinion, everyone should have the freedom to act as they see fit, to live as they want, without having to obey the whims or orders of those above them. She doesnāt believe that people shouldnāt be held accountable for their actions and words. Everything has consequences, after all. In her mind, itās very much a case of āyou should be free to act and say what you want, but you must accept that there may be negative repercussions of those actions and words.ā
