"Quite an ingenious scheme, eh, Flaversham? And aren't you proud to be part of it?"
Professor Ratigan - The Great Mouse Detective (1986)
Happy 40th anniversary, The great mouse detective!
That moment when the animators flex that close-up animation to let us privately investigate a character's personality or either show a tintillating state of insanity of the beloved character's meanwhile blessing us with the specific knowledge of their irises' colour full HD maximum details
(plus allowing me to finally have the perfect pantone's shade to apply in fantasy scenarios before going to sleep )
(eyes...pretty eyes...)
If I was isekai-ed into Toontown, while possibly meeting the blorbos above, visualise me like Sid from Ice Age in the scene when he goes "you have beautiful eyes" one inch from Manny's face

So Professor Ratigan really existed in Twisted Wonderland? Is he a famous historical figure among mice? And Disney has several films about intelligent mice, I'm thinking it makes sense for The Rescuers to be canon in the world of Twisted Wonderland, just like The Great Mouse Detective and Cinderella. Cool, more lore and information about mouse society.
That's right! Ratigan is considered a historically significant figure in Twisted Wonderland, which... I found surprising at first, because bro's just a little mouse 😭 I guess size really doesn't matter here, what matters is what you manage to accomplish. I guess it’s not too weird, considering other anthropomorphic animals like the King of Beasts are also important historical figures.
Ratigan's title is the "Mouse Professor". Trey states that the Mouse Professor is a brown rat who used his superior intellect to create detailed plans and led his mouse brethren. It's said that the Mouse Professor aimed to become the King of Mice everywhere.
The end of the event implied the mice we helped out are still around, so I wonder if we'll get like... a whole series of mouse-related events to coincide with the various mouse-related films of Disney down the line?? And then we'll learn more about mouse history and mouse historical figures 🤡
