That’s exactly what Georgina was trying to do, but her methods were misguided and extremely dubious. Georgina has a history of taking the easy way out when it comes to dealing with her mother, and this time it really came back to bite her.

Honestly, I despise Georgina more than Bunty now. Because at least Bunty was honest. She even mentioned how Vinnie is interested in her happiness and all. And after all this Georgina couldn't find the courage in her. Probably because she is entirely lacking it. I don't remember you showing under what arrangements and conditions Vinnie came to AP, but I feel they most were matters of the heart.

Vinnie came to AP because he always wanted to live and work in the country, but also because he had fallen hard for Georgina. He saw it as a golden opportunity and he grabbed it. Vinnie is someone who truly  subscribes to the motto ‘carpe diem’.

And it's unfair and very selfish to drag someone's out of their life (it occurs Vinnie was quite valued at his prev workplaces) just to make them a part of yours when you don't have the amenities to keep them. AND AT THE SAME TIME to have the guts to try to destroy the relationship of someone else!!! (referring to Joanita). Anita shoud have reached her with that pool cue!

Yes, Georgina is in a lot of ways a weak and amoral person, who paints herself both as a victim and a martyr. But I have high hopes she can redeem herself!

In her own way, Georgina is just as obsessed with maintaining appearances as Bunty is. Vinnie deserves better.

She definitely is, great observation. But her motivation may be not be quite as shallow or self-serving...I see her as being motivated mainly by fear, and cowardice.

So that’s what you meant when you said it wasn’t Bunty you were worried about Re: Vinnie. Sigh, this scene breaks my heart - specially since she just said she loved him a few hours ago. What sort of love is this? I also don’t understand why it even matters to her if Bunty has a problem with it - just that she would threaten to drink if she felt Georgie’s marriage was jeopardised?

Georgina is worried that Bunty will turn to drink, yes, but she’s equally worried about facing certain home truths about her own marriage, a rapidly crumbling edifice. She would prefer to distract herself with other men than examine the real reasons behind the failure of her relationship with her husband. But her feelings for Vinnie may finally compel her to face her demons!

For all of Roy's faults he at least knows what he wants. Georgina could learn something from that. Instead she desperately tries to maintain an appearance that isn't true. Poor Vinnie! He doesn't deserve this.

Sorry, I don’t feel sorry for Vinnie, I really can’t. If he truly understood Georgina- her lack of courage, the controlling fear she has of her mother, her insecurities, he would protect her the right way. That means playing dumb about their relationship until Georgina was ready to announce it, waiting for her to find the courage she needed to confess all and move on. But she’s still married and never offered to divorce what’s his name therefore relationship is kept secret!

But Vinnie totally understood that Georgina wanted the relationship kept secret and accepted it...he was genuinely concerned here when Georgina told him that Roy had guessed the true nature of their relationship. He wasn’t upset about her lying to Bunty- he was upset about the vicious things she said to Bunty about him, which to his ears sounded thoroughly convincing. She made him feel worthless. She made him feel like scum.

*sigh* I can’t hate on Georgie for this. She’s struggling with not wanting to push her mother back to drinking, and not having the courage to take that giant risk like Roy. And while I feel for Vinnie, he obviously doesn’t understand her as well as he needs to if this is surprising to him.

She was so convincing though, as if she was giving voice to things that had been in her head all along...I think that’s what shocked him the most.

I just hope that Vinnie will give her a chance to explain and will understand why she did it. This is still so new. Georgie needs time. Bunty might rebound with two divorces in a row. We can't forget that Roy took a long time to finally quit his marriage. So everyone needs to cut Georgie some slack.

I wish I could say I defeated it irl as well...things got better (mainly because I just had to get used to it and grow a thicker skin) but I’m still an anxious trainwreck 99 % of the time :D It’s the same online. 

Also, instead of actually starting a conversation with people, I’m always like “oh you know, if you feel like talking to me, just send me a message, I don’t bite” but the problem is I know there’s a lot of us like that here and I’m not the only one with this fear of communication so maybe I should be the one to find the courage once

Yeah, I love it! I mean, I don’t actually love it, there were some bad things happening, no freedom of speech and such, but for me, it’s an interesting era to learn about. I also think it’s important to know about these times because in a way, they’re still so similar to where we are now, we really should look back at them and try to not make the same mistakes...sadly, when I look at the situation in my country...sometimes it feels like people forget. Not just people like me who didn’t experience it and have only learned about it in History classes...feels like even people who have been there forget and it’s sad and frustrating and I wish I could do something about it. Okay rant over.

OMG Roy is making sense. She could have taken the opportunity to take what she wanted if that's what she wanted. I don't think she knows what she wants. Until she figures that out she's better off with no one.

I think she’s made her decision now. And who ever would have thought that Roy’s advice would be instrumental in helping her reach that decision!

Speaking of hypocritical jerks, wasn't Georgie the one blowing off Roy's regular appointments with Crystal over the babyphone? Yes, she didn't do it on purpose bla bla bla, but by mistake, her mind too occupied with cutting plans how to destroy someone else's relationship (a little overexaggerating here 😋😋). But the result was the same, right?

Yes, the result was the same....excellent point as always, Mirena!! And @mochasims​ is thinking below that telling Bunty about Vinnie may have been payback for that....knowing Roy it would definitely have played a part, lololol!!

cute how roy turned that around like he dropped the news on bunty to do georgina a favor. he told bunty solely to gloat and piss her off. i also wouldn't be surprised if a little revenge was mixed in because georgina inadvertently outed his relationship with crystal

i don't disagree with his advice that georgina needs to live in her truth but he needs not act like that was his intention for outing her business.

I agree with Roy. Fighting for Vinnie could scare Georgina enough to face life’s challenges in a new way. 🤷🏾‍♀️The choice is hers. But I absolutely believe that committing to your growth is the most important thing to do when YOU ARE SINGLE and looking for love.

@mochasims I don’t think he was acting like he did Georgina a favor, though. He was more pointing out that what she chose to make of that situation was her responsibility. Roy isn’t the abuser here, Bunty is, and Georgie can’t be relying on anyone else to stand up to her abuser FOR her. And yeah, it’s fine to need help. But again, she has to be the one to call in that help.

I think that by pointing that out to Georgina, Roy was very deliberately creating a smokescreen to cover his true motives for telling Bunty about she and Vinnie. And Georgina probably wasn’t fooled, either, but was too distraught about Vinnie to care. But Roy was right, all the same- Georgina did have the perfect opportunity to declare her love for Vinnie to Bunty, but instead took the easy and cowardly road. Georgina’s learned a very hard lesson, and only time will tell if Vinnie will be able to forgive her. But she’s taken an amazing step in the right direction by calling Patrick.

I truly think Georgie and Vinnie are perfect for each other, it's easy to judge her for how she acted when he mom came and say what you would've done or what she should've done... but she has the burden of an addict on her shoulders.. I hope she can break free, she'll be a goddess when she does.
