i vaguely remember a dialogue from paya where she says impa hasn't smiled in a long time 'til link came back.

i'd like to think she's been pretty melancholic ever since the calamity happened and zelda and the champions had gone as she's had her regrets and longing

Ito me wild could be someone who kinda like sky has his own pent up anger, idk I feel like pre botw wild was also angry for a lot of his knight hood just deeply rooted into him (he was gonna take it all out on the calamity probably) and all that anger just never faded even after he died it was still rooted in place after death. Waking up knowing nothing and then being told that you failed 100 years ago and the person you were supposed to protect is trapped because of your failures.

Im lowkey projecting a whole like but just thinking more about it makes me mad for wild, like idk pre botw him seemed to not like being in the position he was in, most likely being trained from a young age, having the person your soul is literally connected to resent your very existence, being dehumanized (bc the king and flora b4 liking him didn’t really call him by his own name only “the knight” “champion” “the hero” or what not) and he was very much miserable stated in Michas diary about how he looked like he was look through you.

Kohga: are you going to put me out of my misery?

Urbosa: No, I’m going to help your back, now just do it

Kohga rolls onto his stomach as Urbosa climbs over him so that she is laying over him and starts to massage his back

Urbosa: say anything and I’ll make your pain 10 times worse

Urbosa: after I’m done start applying ice pacs for 20 minutes a few times a day…got it?

If any of you didn't see my last post, this is my au of breath of the wild/tears of the kingdom where Link was raised in Gerudo Town. He was raised by mtf Ganondorf, who here is named Isis.

Link was a rather normal child, or as normal as you can be as the only male in Gerudo Town. But it seems the rules of no males don't apply to children.

He loves his Mom, she's so cool! She the court mage for Auntie Urbosa, and they share a matching birthmark!

Link continued being a happy go lucky child until when Chief Urbosa, and her court. Traveled to Hyrule for Queen Zelda's funereal. Well he still was happy go lucky, even after disappeared for two days and coming back with a the Master Sword.

Extra Notes:

Link is more covered up compared to the other Gerudo children because he turns into a lobster in the desert sun.

I took some design details from OOT Ganondorf (And kinda the Champions Tunic) for the detailing.

If you read the Isis post you'd know that his bio family died in a fire. His bio family were the Lons, and they owned Lon Lon Ranch (Later the Ranch Ruins). So he is 100% descended from the Hero of Time and the Hero of Twilight.

Because the story is so early in planning, I am taking recommendations of character ideas!

I already had some ideas of Urbosa's daughter, and how she is a few years older then Link and Zelda.

Maybe a ice and fire sage for Twinrova?
