The FDA says drug makers have recalled more than a half-million bottles of the blood pressure medication prazosin hydrochloride over concern
The Teva Pharmaceuticals USA and Amerisource Health Services drug for high blood pressure, prazosin (also known as Minipress as per Wikipedia), for containing a carcinogenic contaminate. Prazosin is also used for PTSD and nightmares, as well as (off label?) for kidney stones if you can't tolerate tamsulosin/Flomax (as was my case 5 years ago when I proved to be allergic to tamsulosin).
I missed a dose of Prazosin for one night and immediately had a nightmare about being attacked by someone with a knife and only woke up after I bled out.

So much for the Prazosin. Weird, bad dreams all night.Β Not hellhole or abuse themed at least, but people were getting killed and I was trying to save them, racing around before the building collapsed.Β Choosing who to save and get out in time because I couldn't save everyone.

I don't hear enough people talk about the side effects of medication, especially when you're starting a new medication.
Chronically ill people are significantly likelier to experience an increased number of side effects, and considering that we're some of the people that take the most medication this absolutely sucks.
Thank whoever made prazosin I don't get my flashback nightmares but I sometimes get random sad dreams π
