Inuit Pagoda - Echo Chamber
Inuit Pagoda’s 'Echo Chamber' is their most accomplished release to date, an album that sharpens and deepens their blend of jazz-inflected krautrock and ambient soundscapes. Rooted in a clear compositional conception but guided with a intuitive vision, the band takes a bold leap forward, creating a dense and expansive aural experience that resists easy classification. Each track pulses with life, shifting moods and textures in unexpected yet fluid ways. Formed in Biel/Bienne and now composed of Emilio Vidal, Nikola Jan Gross, Armelle Scholl and Marius Rivier, the group continues to cross the line between genres and disciplines. "Echo Chamber" resonates their ongoing commitment to sonic exploration, drawing influences from post-rock, modern jazz, noise, progressive, hypnotic and ambient music. The result is a hybrid idiom that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking, physical and cerebral.

godspeed you black emperor! -- f# a# ∞ [album, 1998]
I’ve always loved talking with Tori Amos because every conversation feels like stepping into an entirely new world. This time she takes me inside In Times of Dragons, a sweeping concept album about democracy, tyranny, mythology, memory, and finding the fearless woman who wrote Silent All These Years. It’s one of my favorite conversations we’ve had.

Wailing from the Abyss (YT Shorts)
"Wailing from the Abyss", a bizarre pastiche of stoner rhythm and layers of synths, begins with an eerie electronic pulse that sets a haunting, atmospheric tone. As the track evolves, distorted guitars and relentless drums break through, driving the rhythm with a serrated intensity. The sound shifts, echoing the anguished cries of souls rising from the depths, only to be shattered by a surge of raw, electrifying power—an unsettling journey from darkness to chaotic awakening.

Besna - Krásno
Post-Black Metal from Bratislava, Slovakia
The second long play album Krásno [Beauty] by slovak post-black metal band Besna explores themes of societal stagnation, personal isolation, ecological collapse, and the search for meaning in an unjust world. Through seven intense tracks, it critiques the passive acceptance of authority, the cyclical nature of cynicism, and the desire for self-expression amidst a declining culture and ongoing war. Drawing from mythological references (the song Bezhviezdna obloha [Starless Sky]) and historical events (the song Hranice [Pyres], which reflects on the self-immolation of Jan Palach and the deaths of people fleeing across the borders of communist Czechoslovakia), Krásno highlights the closing off to foreign ideas and lives, urging listeners to fight apathy and despair. The album serves as a powerful reflection on human resilience and a call for cultural and societal renewal.
