tired of everything being smart! I like having not-smart things!
Not smart dishwasher
not smart oven and fridgerfrater
my not even smart phone!
went small grocery shopping. I hope these are used as a vaporwave album art someday.

The Field - Silent
Daily minimal techno pill - i've been relistening to from here we go sublime. it's held up amazingly well for its time. silent is one of the deep cuts I've come to appreciate more.
I like to read about the music I listen to, and I never knew about the extensive sampling on this. For instance, this track Silent samples Coldplay's The Scientist. Other tracks sample Kate Bush, Fleetwood Mac, Lionel Ritchie, Alan Parsons, as i learnt courtesy of this rateyourmusic list.
Not immediately recognisable, as the samples are heavily manipulated, but a neat approach to the creation process nonetheless. akin to sampling in glitch music, actually (my first thoughts were oval's aero deck or oneohtrix's r plus seven)
Planning to listen to other albums by the field sometime as i only ever got into this one
