Here’s my why not date application:
I’m looking for a healthy relationship. (Hopeful for a poly relationship but anything would be fine <3 )
Who am I:
I’m Alex Johnson. I’m 16 (17 in two months), I’m from Michigan and I’m queer. My pronous fluctuate but they/Them is what I most prefer. I’m looking to try a poly relationship, I really have an connection to that but I also enjoy exclusive monogamus relationships as well :)
What I need in a relationship;
Reasurance, trust, COMMUNICATION, openess to ideas, faithfulness, and respect. I will provide the same.
Boundaries for this “application:”
You must be (late) 15 - 19 years old.
Any gender is alright with me
You must be a decent person. No racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc
I’m okay with long distance as long as we have communication and boundaries set in place
Thats all I think :) hmu if you wanna y’all or be friends!!
Poly Quad Four Nations Aesthetic For My Two Year Anniversary
Not long ago, I found myself chatting with a friend about the logistics of coming out to one’s coworkers. Given that I’m queer, and he’s a straight, cisgender man, it’d be reasonable to expect that it was my coming out that happened to be up for discussion. Reasonable, but in this case wrong: The coming out in question involved my friend opening up to coworkers about being one-third of a polyamorous triad.
From my personal facebook: Yesterday was National Coming Out Day.. I came out poly to my new PCM, and listed my boyfriend as a 2nd emergency contact on the intake paperwork. I'm out with co-workers and all over social media with my "real" profile.
Specifically, I am 1/4th of a closed poly quad AKA "Quople" and I'm among the most "out" just because of employers/other family concerns. If you're out like me, awesome. If you still have to hide in the poly closet, I get that too.
If you think polyamory is "all about sex" let me tell you the board-meeting style group chats about logistics and the usefulness of a shared Google Calendar. Let me tell you about the laughs we get from confused servers when we go out to eat and tell them how to split the check... and the joy we all get on the nights like tonight when we can just "come home" and eat dinner together. Let me tell you that my life is pretty amazing, growing "tickles" and all! <3
In a new quad couple relationship. He wants everything equal. Like she comes over here, I should go over there. I don't see that as feasible. They are newer to polyamory than my husband and I. I don't want to upset him or her. IDK what to say or do without upsetting the situation.
In some cases, it’s impossible to have the conversation that needs to be had without introducing a little bit of conflict.
It is okay to set some boundaries, being gentle but firm. You could say something like:
“I know you want to try and keep things equal, but in my experience, rigid ‘score-counting’ and insisting on exact equality harms more than it helps. It is unrealistic to expect that what every couple does together is perfectly mirrored by the other two. For me, ‘equality’ doesn’t mean ‘everyone does the same thing,’ it means ‘everyone gets what they need.’ It’s a feeling and a philosophy rather than a balance sheet. What makes you feel ‘unequal,’ and how can we address that? What needs do you have? What fears, needs, or desires make you want such exact ‘equality’ of time spent? And how can we meet those without holding our relationships to impossible rules?”
If he is so stuck on this that he insists that the only way for this to work is to adhere to a standard and practice you find impossible, perhaps this is not a person you’re compatible with in a quad-couple arrangement.

My quadrad is kind of dismantling before me and I have really mixed feels about it. I'm super apprehensive about the June meetup right now. I'd only go to spend time with S. I don't know if C wants a relationship with me anymore, the way he is acting says not. I don't want a friendship with K. Tbh his constant depressive mindset and self loathing is something I just don't want to be around. Plus he doesn't seem to respect my need for boundaries with metamours. Or at least understand it. A conversation this morning made it seem like he was saying "Well that's a 'you' issue." I just feel really singled out and isolated lately. Which is funny because S and I are growing and developing a deeper emotional and supportive connection and creating safe space for one another. And J's boys want to meet me and she met my mom last week and my Mom really likes her. So I have these two great relationships right now and yet other connections are crumbling. I have very mixed and bittersweet feels and don't know how to deal with them. =/
